There certainly are alot of Henne Haters on this board so I was wondering, in terms of stats, what would it take for you to eat crow and actually want Henne back for 2012

Example

3,400yrds 25tds 12ints 11-5record wild card game win

??? what are your numbers ???

For me, it isn't numbers with Henne. If you look at his stats, you might wonder where the problem is. It's not the stats. For me to support Henne, I must see him make the throws that matter most. He's great between the 20's. He needs to make things happen in the red zone. The offense cannot be a fist-pumping, field goal festival. I honestly wouldn't care if he played a tough game with a strong team like the Patriots and had 1 TD and 3 INTs if we won the game and he never backed down. QBs have those kinds of games sometimes. But they have the guts to go out and fight and win the game. That's leadership.

So it isn't the stats for me. If he fails to step up when we need him, I'll be supporting a change at QB.

I totally agree with the inside the 20's.... if he improves there, it would be a tremendous step

He needs to win the close games instead of making bone headed mistakes. I think mentally he just doesn't have it. Any time we are in a close game the guy just crumbles. To me the low point was losing to Cleveland and Detroit. Those two teams we should never lose too if we had a decent quarterback!

I need to see consistency, and I'd like to see more td's than int's. I'm not looking for miracles. If he came out this year, threw 20 to 25 td's and 12 to 17 td's, I'd be ok. I just want consistent progress.

STOP OVERTHROWING AND UNDERTHROWING YOUR RECEIVERS then yea ill be happy :hclap:

If he has a positive TD-to-INT ratio I'd be happy. Doesn't even have to be 2-to-1...5 more TDs than INTs would be fine...20 Tds and 15 INTs would be good.

The other number is wins. Get me 10 wins or more and keep beating the Jets I'd be very happy. Throwing yards, completion percentage...all that other stuff I'm not that concerned about. We could be the 30th ranked offense in terms of yards in the league but if we're top 10 in scoring and among the leaders in turnover ratio we're going to win a lot of games.

^^^This. I want to see him finish drives.

3500 yards, 25 tds, 12 ints....not great, but pretty good

How about simply throwing more touchdowns than interceptions for a whole season for a start, I find that a stat you can hang your hat on. How about showing the ability and leadership to perform in the clutch and win big games when it matters.

I'd like to know what any of you see in him from his first 3 years to give you hope?

I've never done a backflip before but if he had those #'s this season I'd find a way to execute one. That would be a HUGE step forward for Henne. I'd be happy with just a few more TD's than INT's to be honest. If he had like 20 td's and 15 int's while showing that he can execute in the redzone and the O was getting more big plays than the last couple of years I'd be all for keeping him. That being said I'd still give up the farm for Luck though lol. But that's simply because I believe Luck is going to be a top tier player.

more touchdowns than interceptions and more on target deep balls

Throw more TD's than INT's. Use the weapons he has. Not checkdown all the time. Show some balls and throw deep with accuracy.
