if the Browns wanted to trade back into the 1st round with us to get a QB?

1st...would you do it...and if you did, what would be your price?

That could be an interesting trade partner for Miami. Cleveland's 2nd and 3rd sounds like fair compensation.

SF is another team that could want to move up for a quarterback. The 49ers have two 4th round picks. Maybe their 2nd and both of those 4ths.

SF Dolphin is pretty good on his ideas as far as compensation but it also depends on who is there. If Derek Barnett is there I don't think I'd trade out unless I got a massive deal.

Cleveland would be ideal, offering their top 2nd (#33) and their 3rd. IMHO, the talent drop off isn't very dramatic from #22 to #33, and while Cleveland gains the leapfrog to get their QB and the 5th year option, we would get just about the same player at 33 with another good prospect with their 3rd rounder. I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I haven't seen any kind of draft chart showing proper compensation for this kind of trade but on the surface for Miami to move out of the first round ... which is essentially 9 or 10 picks down ... they would have to get way more than an extra 3rd. Either there's one of Cleveland's 2's along with that 3 or Miami gets along with that 3 a high pick in 2018. This draft is deep and Miami needs more picks.

There's no shot we would move all the way out of the first round without getting 2 2nds.

I'm already on record saying I would make the deal for both of Cleveland's second round picks. Even better would be Miami's 1st and 2018 4th for two 2nd round picks and a 3rd round pick all in next week's draft. That would leave Miami with three 2nd round picks and two 3rd round picks next week and an outside shot that the player they were looking at at 22 might still be available at 33.

Yeah. I think there are going to be gems in the late 1st.

I think the Browns go Garrett.

But I think QB hungry teams suck up QBs.

In this chart, the 22nd pick has a value of 780 points.

The 33rd pick has a value of 580, and the 65th pick has a value of 265...for a total of 845.

All the way out of the first round?

We pick 22, not 12. That would be moving all the way out.

ALWAYS depends on who is available when we pick, but it would take more than a 3rd, regardless of what some fan-made value chart says.

New England did it with Minnesota and got a 2nd, 3rd and a 6th to get Bridgewater in 2015. so we could do it for and get their 33th and 65th.

Their second 2nd and their comp 4th would be best case scenario. Future picks would be nice as well.

That's essentially a 3rd and 6th to switch to go from mid 2nd to late 1st.
