Alright, I live in Buffalo and am a Dolphins and Mets fan (more Dolphins than Mets). In anycase, I'm going to try to make a single trip to see the Mets and Dolphins in a span of two days. After looking at both schedules I have two options. I can either A) Go to Miami for the Dolphins pre-season game against the Falcons September 1st and the next day go to a Mets-Marlins game both at Dolphins stadium or B) Go to NYC for the Dolphins regular season game against the Jets on September 18th and the previous day go to Shea Stadium to see the Mets-Braves game.

Benefits of A): I have never been to Miami for a game or anything for that matter, Dolphins Stadium would be a shrine to me, the weather, etc..

Disadvantages of A):
The Dolphins game is preseason, may not get to see many starters, intensity of game is decreased

Benefits of B): Get to see a regular season Dolphins game (don't worry bout the Jets fans, I live in Buffalo, I'm used to it), get to go to Shea to see the Mets (I have never seen a Mets game live)

Disadvantages of B): I would have to see the Phins game in New York when I have always wanted to see one in Miami.

What would you guys do?

Is this vacation is strickly for sports choose the NYC weekend.. If you are gonna get some time in the sun and other stuff how can you go wrong with Miami in Sept.

I have a similar choice- but mine is either attend opening game in Miami, or attend the next week's game against the Jets in NY.

I am definitely leaning towards opening day in Miami vs. the Donkeys.

I would rather watch the Dolphins pound the Jets, then watch them pound the 2nd string Falcons players.. Vick won't be playing much in the preseason trust me..

Its true that its tough to beat Miami in Sept, but you CANT beat NYC unless its Dec-March and even then its damn close. Go B and take Jet Blue. Its about $150 round trip. I go about once a month (was there last weekend).

B, I think that going to a game that matters is way more important then any other thing mentioned.

B; forget preseason games. Why pay high prices to see back ups?

Be warned Shea Stadium is a dump. Its got the best view of a parking lot you'll ever see out over the CF wall.

Im going to the game @ the meadowlands in all probability so ill see you there.

Im just happy theres other Mets/Phins fans here besides me.
