Just out of curiosity, how would you guys react if Harbaugh wins the Superbowl in his first year knowing that's who we had our hopes on getting last year?

Awesome!!!....It would mean the Patriots and Brady didn't win yet another Superbowl.

It would be a little upsetting, but if it means the Patriots losing another Super Bowl, it would be great.

Don't really care, he was never going to leave California. Ross took a shot in the dark, but ultimately it was never going to happen. Especially when Harbaugh could move from college to the NFL and keep living in his same house. If the 49ers beat the Giants, I hope they win the Super Bowl. Much rather them win it than the Patriots.

I wouldn't mind too much, because I know there's no way he would've won one in his first season here regardless.

Well I would feel and I already feel we missed out on one of the best coaching prospects of the last decade. Some of this board say we never had a chance to hire him because of his ties to cali but thats a lot of speculation. We never had a chance to sign him for one reason and that our idiot of a football owner decided to pursue a coach with one still in place. Who with any ethics does that or accepts any kind of offer to take a job that way. So yes our front office totally screwed up whatever they were tryin to do last year, there is no way to sugar coat or make it seem any other way. Some people on this board believed the BS that they just wanted to talk to Harbaugh for hell of it lol. Long term who knows if philben leads us back to winning we wont even think about it much. These two guys may be linked for a while. Getting Philben is by no means at this time as good a hire as Harbaugh was but in time he may be a better hire. Our front office tried quite hard to mess this years hire up but Im quite happy with the hire. At this time Im going to look at the positive of this years hire and try to forget how they fumbled going after Harbaugh. Now if a couple of years later we are still a 7-9 team I may reevaluate my view.

I would be happy that Pats lost. I am over it. I am buying into the Philbin vision and thinking of ways to help the here and now.
