Seeing the Dolphins play well and come out with a win today was great. I got lost in all this anti-chambers hype and forgot about how talented we truely are. Thanks for the reminder! :mor911:

Anyways, although it is nice to see us get another win, I couldn't help but wonder if I would rather a comeback season and miraculously make the playoffs or lose out and get a better draft pick. I personally prefer us losing out, although going to the playoffs would be tight and a strong ending to whats going to be a better team next year, I feel like it would be more beneficial and helpful in the long run if we lost out to help rebuilt. Plus, if we do make the playoffs, i think we would get stomped anyway.

What are your thoughts?:feedback:

Anyone who chooses lose out....sorry but you ARE NOT A FAN OF THE MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!! and I don't want to hear your stupid reasoning....there is none!! If you chose lose out, you are a loser!

I want to win out. We have lived under the "The Dolphins cant finish at the end of the season" gag for years. I want to eliminate it. While we couldnt win in the middle of the season, atleast we won at the end.

Saban will have to work on certain positions, no questions asked, but he wont have to work on team chemistry and heart if they put everything on the line and win out (or atleast attempt to)

I strongly agree  You play to win!

It'd be awesome to have a late season run and to OWN the fools who said we were done for the season...n00bs they are.

That is not true!. I am probably the biggest, obsessed, Miami fan on the planet...and I was hoping that we lost because I care about our future. This win actually messed things up as we had a chance to enter the top five picks with certain top five pick teams winning today. Can we beat the Colts? Can we beat Seattle? Can we beat Denver again? That is the issue. If we win out and make the playoffs...and lose...we are fkd for the draft and our draft pick loses its power in a trade. C'mon use some common sense and stop being overtaken by "pride". We can tear it up next year. Nevertheless, now that we won and fkd it up for the opportunity to move up and add value to the draft pick, we might as well root for us to win and "hope" New England lose 3 out of the last 5 games. Go Phins!!! I guess?!!?

Draft pick or FA. If we win out and make playoffs some FA's may actualy look into coming down here. They look and see Saban turning things around and are interested. You are going to have a mid 1st round pick regardless. If a player is that important trade up for them. Otherwise alot of problems are going to be addressed in FA this offseason anyway, and you want to paint a nice picture for the FA prospects. Do you see any FA jumping up and down wanting to go to Houston??

GIVE ME PLAYOFFS!!!!

like I said, there is NO REASONING!!!!!!!!! a pick in the 10-15 range will do us fine as well. We seem to have gotten lucky with our top 5 pick this year. Having another would just be asking for a Ryan Leaf!!

Losing to get a higher pick is stupid, I think Ethan Skolnick said it very well this morning:

It mattered even if the Dolphins slipped further in the draft sweepstakes. Many fans are far too focused on this. Just enjoy any success. A top pick is not the prize many make it out of be. Only two of the teams holding 2005's top 10 draft spots are in position to make the playoffs, and one, Chicago, has turned around with little help from selection Cedric Benson. Savvy talent evaluators can find quality players later.

The top pick is only a minor consolation prize for sucking when winning is the real prize. I would like a high pick to improve just like anyone else here, but if we win out (still unlikely in my book) maybe we have fewer holes to fill than we thought. Besides, in order to win out, gus will have to play well and if gus keeps up this level of play (not counting cleveland for some dilusional reason) then we could have someone to hold the reigns while we acclimate our new qb (whoever it may be) to the nfl.

I really do not care if we win or lose, just dont want to see crappy play. I want to see us bounce back from bad plays and make plays after the fact. I want to see 11 guys on the same page. If you lose, you lose, but you learn to win when you stick together and play together, and learn from each other together.

But I dont want my team to play to lose. That is a killer intrinsically to any team for the future. You cannot trade away or cut your entire team.
