yea, obviously my first choice would be Joey Porter. but i dont think you would have to give up too much to get Briggs from chicago since he is making such a big deal saying he wont play another down for the organization.. i think that we might even be able to swing him for a 3rd. or a 4th and that extra sixth or seventh that we have.
realistically i would give a second for lance briggs... hes still very young 27 i think... and i remember hearing rumors that he wanted to come to the dolphins this offseason because i believe he is from FL or the Dolphins were his fav team... something like that...
I seen Briggs play a lot cause I am from Ill. He is not a great fit for a style of D-fence. Plus his #'s are overrated cause of playing next to Urlachur and the cover 2 d-fence funnels plays to him so he gets more tackles.
i agree with what you say because i am from IL also and see a lot of bears games, but Briggs is a great athlete and very young only goin in to his 4th year. i think he still has the ability to adapt to a diff. style of defense if necessary and be successful.. i guess he is a little small tho 6-1 ,240
I agree 100%. I rather not waste any picks and try and pick up one of these two linebackers. (1) Joey Porter (2) LaVar Arrington. They both would be huge upgrades.
i want porter more than anything, but if briggs is available, i dont know why we didnt try to put something together involving mcmike. i hear they are looking for a tight end, and we are going to cut ours for nothing.
again i want porter in the worst way, but i think if we did want briggs we shouldtry to work out a deal involving randy
