What's going on with Jake Scott?

How come these Miami reporters never keep the fan base up to date on what the 411 is with the Dolphins?
 
last i heard, both sides were interested. I wonder if ireland didnt make the ebst offer because he thinks we have our starting Oline in place

Jake Scott is very interested in playing here but wouldn't sign for $34,000 a year with a 5% discount to the Dolphins pro shop. Hopefully we will up the offer a little and bring him in.
 
I understand the whole assign a value and that is what you pay logic. But you don't get good FA's that way. We NEED to upgrade this OL - it was brutal last year. Right now we don't have a right side still. We have some guys to throw in the mix but no set position. It sounds like Scott would be penciled in at RG and now you have enough guys to battle it out at RT. You could even draft a tackle later on in the draft to develop. You CAN'T go into the offseason needing BOTH RG and RT. You already planned on upgrading QB and failed there and now you have a bigger hole at WR. Too many needs - how many times are we going to hear you can only fill so many. At some point go out and fill them!! Stop low balling guys and get them signed!!

You guys do know that this will be the 5th year in a row we have at least 2 new starters on the o-line. Actually, we had 3 new starters each of the past 4 years and now we'll have at least 2. But hey, we need to have patience. The grea Ireland will take care of it.

I keep telling myself that Ireland goes out and gets the players his coach wants. I keep telling myself that because it's really the only way I can try to be optimistic about the draft.

Plus, I'd just really like to blame everything on Tony Sparano.

Ross keeps saying money won't be an issue to signing players. Doesn't seem like it though! Ireland's value chart is clearly different than the rest of the league.

We have hardly any salary cap room. It's not a function of being unwilling to pay these guys, it's a function of having been too willing to pay guys in seasons past.

yeah, 10 years from now Ireland will still be with us missing on picks and drafting linemen and Sparano will still be blamed for everything.
