Ive been in basic training since may and have not heard anything that has happened. Someone please fill me in on any moves and news.

I don't think anything has happened.

by the way welcome to the army, I hope for your sake you're not headed to Ft. Stewart, :roflmao: unless of course you like deployments.

NOTHING AT ALL IT HAS BEEN SO BORING AROUND HERE.....i am about to go crazy...

if u give a time frame i could tell you but as far as very recently.... nothing:shakeno:

Let's see. Ricky turned up positive on a drug test. We traded next year's second round pick for a third string qb. We picked up David Boston for nothing. Wade Smith sprained is knee. Ricky McMichael and his wife are into boxing each other, but in jail they get separate rooms. Zach had artho on his knee and will miss most of training camp which I think is actually a positive thing. Training camp starts in about 10 days and life begins again.

You also forgot to tell him Don Shula quit,Dan Marino retired, and we hired Dave Wannstedt as head coach:rolleyes:  .

......lol i dont think he was gone as long as u thot.

OK, assuming you've been out of touch for 60-90 days let me try and summarize. No major signings have happened since the draft, nor have any draft picks been signed. Through the mini-camps, Fiedler seems to be ahead in the QB battle mostly from the mental side. As to who will start when the preseason/season starts, your guess is as good as mine.

The Oline seems to be coming into some focus, with Jeno James at LG emerging as a leader and force to be reckoned with. Early guess is that they will be a better run blocking unit, they could hardly be worse, though the pass blocking may be spotty as the season begins. OLT Wade Smith sprained a knee in workouts but is expected back at the beginning of camp.

On the Receiver corps, TE McMichael had a drunken celebration of his b'day, got slaped around by his wife, and, after calling 911, hauled off and slugged her (she is 6 months pregnant). Law enforcement is involved as may well be the league. Film at 11. David Boston is getting kudos for his work ethic and Chambers caught everything thrown near him in camp. A third WR has not yet stepped out of the pack of wannabes.

At FB/RB, the only story is who will the back-ups be. Ricky and Travis Minor seem to hold the first two RB spots and Rob Konrad is the FB. There are a couple of undrafted FA's who want the back-up spot behind Konrad and will battle UFA signee Morris. At RB a little scatback type from Iowa, Fred Russell, turned heads in the minicamps with his speed and acceleration. When the pads come on we will see.

On the Defensive side of the ball, the big story is the non-story of Ogunleye not signing yet. No movement is apparent on that front. At LB Zack had a minor scoping of a knee and will probably miss the first couple exhibition games. Eddie Moore, last year's number two draft pick, has returned in good physical form and will push for playing time.

The backfield looks very strong with perhaps the most intriguing battle of camp other than QB shaping up at FS. Arturo Freeman is the listed starter but UFA Antwan Edwards and last year's draft pick, Yeremiah Bell will push him hard.

Specialists remain the same and no one has stepped up to claim either returner role.

Hope this helps.
