This is not for gus support but what in your opinions is worse,qb overthrowing a reciever or reciever dropping a ball? Because we have seen plenty of both from this offense.

The receivers will drop the ball regardless who is throwing it. Maybe the other quarterback won't miss so many. From that point of view, change the quarterback cause we have no receivers to put in.

WR Dropping a ball...that don't get very many chances they should make the most of it.

Both are equally hard to watch

without a chicken you have no egg.....or was that without an egg you have no chicken.

its still an incomplete pass

They are about equal, but it.s rare a reciever gets the chance to drop 40 passes a game.

I would say an overthrow simply because it has a higher chance of becoming an int.

To that end I really like the idea of getting RW and RB more involved in the passing game..They are both underrated and I think very good recievers. Watching Ricky and or ronnie in the slot is very exciting and i think a nice wrinkle that we need to use to our advantage.

QB overthrowing...its bad enough that there is a possibility that the receiever might not catch the ball, but if he is wide open and the guy doesnt get him the ball thats a problem

Overthrows just piss me off. Underthrow it and let them fight for it! Just dont overthrow.

I think drops are more easily avoided, and I'll try to think of a good example.
Okay, here's one: Dan Marino overthrew more people than Jerry Rice dropped balls. Both are amongst the best (if not the best) at their respective positions. Dropped balls are drive and momentum killers, and there's really no reason for a ball to be dropped if it's placed in the right spot.

both are bad. but I will go with a Qb overthrow . because as it was said earlier it can be picked easier. Which may go 6 the other way. As opposed to a dropped ball simply loses a down.

Now if you can get a qb that can throw a good ball that hopefully will kill the drops.

Overthrowing a reciever..

...except in the endzone,

Where dropped balls are immortalized, along with the target chokee.

This is not for Gus rippage, but there were a couple passes that were so overthrown, without even knowing where the reciever was, it was clear the instant it left his hand, the velocity and trajectory were well beyond reach.

But hell, suppose even Marino had his off days..

...then again, he usually straightened those up by halftime :shakeno:
