with the issues surrounding wallace along with the releases of hartline & gibson, what do you think are the next options for the fins besides the draft
im hoping for them to offer a nice deal to randall cobb since he hasnt signed with the packers yet but they are going to be other potential cuts coming in the next few days.

I doubt Wallace is going anywhere.

My prediction: sign a FA, draft 2.

my hope for 2015 (which is what i think is best for any sort of improvement with our overall offense as well as Tannehill, Landry, and youth future):

Wallace/Landry/Matthews/Hazel/ and then draft two WRs in the draft (hopefully rounds 3-4-5). Matthews, Hazel, Rookies... battle it all out!!!

Hankerson, Royal, Douglas, Brown, Crabtree, Maclin, Cobb, Nicks, Britt etc are all out there.. Have plenty of options to replace those 3.

Landry
Hankerson/Royal
Dorsett
Matthews
Hazel/Douglas/Salas

We don't need to draft a WR in the 3rd or 4th round. We just let go 2 of those kinds of players. If we want real playmakers then get them in round 1 and/or 2. Take a WR at 14.

Ozzy rules!!

I am pretty sure Wallace wont be back...he has made himself look like the bad guy and the organization can't handle it, and a bunch of the fans don't like it either. He gains nothing from coming back other than putting pressure on everyone to make sure he is satisfied... (and making all that money) Not good for the locker room.

I think we go into free agency with just Landry, Matthews and Hazel. We obviously need to target at least one semi veteran WR in FA. Then I see us drafting a guy like Phillip Dorsett in the 2nd round to get one speedy guy on the team. I really don't know if we will draft a WR in the 1st as well (since I HIGHHLYYY doubt we draft a WR in both round 1 and 2)..but we do need some size. Either we get one of the big WR's at #14, or we trade back and maybe get more picks so we can double up at WR in the later rounds. Either way, if we don't a big guy or a fast guy, our WR corpse is going to be pretty damn boring and one dimensional.

if you look at another standpoint, theres no need for a big name reciever. look at seattle, they dont have any big time recievers and managed to make it to the superbowl twice.

Thats the key word . Boring. There is no way our team goes into this season without atleast one exciting guy at WR . They got tickets to sell and a stadium to fill .

Yeah as really the Fins former WR's of Gibson and Hartline were really not big named. But got the job done. But Philbin needs to take the team to the next level.

Seattle had the #1 rushing attack in the league this past season averaging 172 yards per game and scoring 20 TDs during the season. When you can control the ball on the ground like that, you don't need to put the ball in the air. When we have one of the best rushing attacks in the league, we can worry less about our receivers.

Need a big target at WR or TE. Especially since there's a chance Clay goes elsewhere.

Exactly. Instead of focusing on the 2nd WR we cut, let's focus on developing a deeper and more versatile TE depth. Keep Clay, draft that elusive seam busting TE and draft a WR. We don't need to worry about WR3 as much as we do TE3. Find a TE that can push Clay and Sims for time and starts. Suddenly the WR problem is a distant memory.

Oh the small memories of Dustin Keller in preseason before his injury. That was about to be special.

Hartline and Gibson being cut were OBVIOUS moves. Hartline may come back at a fraction of his current salary though I doubt it.

The Wallace situation isn't going to resolve until the day before his bonus is due.

I think we will be looking to trade him and get some value back until the bitter end. Even a 4th rounder if given to the right team(as Walrus suggests) may make one of the big three rookies available to us.
If we don't get an offer? Then we still keep him for one more season.

If we keep Wallace then I see us elevated Matthews(who is dirt cheap and may buy in more when he sees the sea parting in front of him) and elevate Hazel. Landry and a rookie. Not necessarily first rounder. Perhaps a tier two player such as DGB, Coates, Dorsett mold.

If Wallace gets cut then things get a lot more desperate and kind of insane, if you ask me.
We will lose significant negotiating position on any subsequent move.
