What's so special about BOOKER?

No this isn't a "what have you done for me lately" I'm just wondering what he does that boston hasn't or can't.
Play in consecutive seasons and not get in trouble for steroids.

whats so special? he runs great routes, hes big and physical, hes got good hands, hes not as slow as you people here make him out to be, and hes young and hes not expensive...

thats pretty special to me... he gave us what 700 yards recieving in the horrible situation we had here and with chambers and mcmike getting most of the throws? hes a good player, you'll see

He also can stay HEALTHY

But i agree with everything you say there.

He is an above average reciever and I'm not sure why people are so dissapointed with him. He is not our #1 so he shouldnt be expected to be.

I've been thinking about that also, Boston's looking pretty good :D
it's hard to make alot of plays when we never have a decent qb look at Brady's wide receivers.

I tell you what this board is getting too ridiculous. If we dont have Peyton Manning, Ladanian Thomlison, T.O., Randy Moss, Terry Holt, Antonio Gates type of people on our offense then someone on this board is going to start a thread to cut this player or that player. Cant believe it.

If you're going by what theyve done for us in a year and this preseason, how can you say boston should start? I like him too, but he hasnt done anything as a dolphin yet. So how can your argument be based on what theyve done so far. Booker has done a lot more as a dolphin.
THANK you.

lets wait till the season starts, guys. If Boston blows up during the regular season, then fine, switch them. While Booker hasn't been stellar, he hasn't been a let-down either. Considering he only had 200 less yards receiving than our leading receiver, he is on par ratio-wise as a #2 WR. no need to stir the pot...

Marty Booker is the best receiver on this team and will show all of you fantasy football/Madden playing haters just how wrong you are. He isn't Marvin Harrison, but he's the Marvin Harrison of our three receivers with big names -- he shuts up and lets his play do the talking. Chambers and Boston are the Moss and Owens in this comparison because they both have sick physical skills that the lazy observer picks up on quickly.

The only thing I take issue with that somebody who seems to know Booker has said is that his age is a concern. Age is really only a concern with speed guys, so I really worry more about it with Boston or Chambers than I do with Booker. Marty can play well into his 30s if he takes care of himself.

another, "he hasnt done anything in preseason, he sucks!!!" thread....

its preseason. he is getting older, but hes still good. he can run routes well, catch well, read coverages well. he adds leadership. the only thing bad about him is his speed, and his age.

Reason from a realistic Bills fan, good post. Too bad not everyone thinks the same way. Booker is good he is a **** load better than DT thats for sure.

I know the guy had one good year in Chicago but, what has he done here in a year and a preseason? I've been looking for this guy to do something and nada! Promote Boston to the #2 and demote booker to #3.
thats funny I have that same godfather poster on my wall

Damn! An honest Bills fan! What will they think of next?

i dont see anything special about him,That was a really bad trade we made for him

Not really, as Ogun has only one decent season under his belt also, and he wanted too much.

C'mon, unless it's complete lies, he's listed as six feet tall and 210 pounds. He's hardly a pygmy.

Smaller than both DT and Boston. ALso only an inch taller than Chambers and 2 pounds liughter chambers is at 212. So out of our top 5 recievers uncluding wes he is only really bigger than 1.

If you are going to go on stats alone then Booker looked pretty good last year considering our offense. Compare that to New England's top two receivers last year. David Givens had 874 yards and David Patten had 800 yards. They both have been in that offense for a couple of years. Booker didn't even get to spend a training a camp with the Dolphins last year before being thrown in.

Ne was always ahead in the 4th so they ran for most of the second half we were always behind so we passed....same reason our D was worst against the run....we were always down so team would try and run out the clock in the second half against us.

Good point

LAST 2 SEASONS

JT 32 starts 22.5 sacks which is .703 sacks a start
Ogun 28 starts 20.5 sacks which is .732 sacks a start

oh wait oguns numbers look better.....now Im not saying I think Ogun is better just correcting the one hit wonder post.
