Can any South Florida based FHers give us an update on what the buzz is like down there? Are people excited, or at least a little more interested after the strong start?

Metlife was at 97% capacity on Sunday and Jets fans were out in droves, nothing like what I’m used to seeing recently.

Just curious what we can expect out of a homefield crowd - hoping they make the Raiders really uncomfortable tomorrow!

We will have an idea around kickoff how juiced up the crowd is as well as learning the actual attendance. No question the greater South Florida region wants to love its pro football team.

Long way to go.

I've noticed some more dolphins gear around but nothing extraordinary.

It's lowkey out here but an environment susceptible to a change with some serious success and winning.

I bet the game is more packed tomorrow than the season opener, that's for sure.

the hardcore fans are always in. the bs fairweather fans haven't hopped onto the bandwagon just yet.

I wear a Florida Panthers shirt with the old logo sometimes. I get comments on it a lot. Especially lately, I get people telling me how much they miss that goofy old cat logo. Lot of people also finally feeling that the team is about to turn the corner. Having an Aleksander Barkov will do that for you, I guess.

I have an old Dolphins t-shirt. Nobody cares.

Most of the sports talk on the radio is Canes.

Just my observations.

Cautious optimism. People are happy about the start, but nobody is really excited yet. The bigger story down here is the Canes because the expectations were (are) higher. They really disappointed against LSU. They aren't as bad as they looked in that game, but people are still very questionable about Richt being able to win big games here. The Dolphins get the same amount of chatter, but it was more negative going into the season. The media tends to be negative down here. A lot of fans were either negative or claiming that the team was being underrated by the media.

Nobody really cares about the Marlins and people will hate Jeter until they win. The FL Panthers are getting a lot of buzz and are expected to return to the playoffs. People are disappointed that the Heat are stuck with the same roster and people are expecting another forgettable year.

So football is the talk of the town with hockey 2nd. I expect a pretty good crowd tomorrow.

Well, people should hate on Jeter. He destroyed one of the best outfields in baseball and replaced it with... crap. The team is crap. I'm so mad, I actually miss Loria. Jeffrey Loria was not a good owner, but at least he kept Stanton in town. I actually think he was trying, too. That's how insane this is, I miss Loria.

You know what the worst thing about Jeter was? He tossed out Jeff Conine. **** Derek Jeter. You trade Stanton AND you fire Mr. Marlin? God damn I hate that Yankee piece of ****.

They're going to trade Realmuto to the Yankees for a packet of trail mix next.

Loria wasn't trying, the Stanton contract was back-loaded for a reason. The Jeter ownership just made him an offer he could not refuse.

Jeter is a snake. If you read about his Project Wolverine that leaked this is all about purging the payroll and pocketing the revenue sharing. The Houston Astros winning the world series was not good for the Marlins. Now Jeter has an anecdotal argument to refer to to pretend he's trying to build a contender while the ownership keeps payroll low and pockets the revenue sharing.
