What's the Deal with Big Daddy?

We haven't heard much about Big Daddy Wilkinson lately. What's the deal? Is he hurt? Is he not performing? Wasn't he inactive a game or so ago? There has been hardly any mention of him lately. He was supposed to be on par with "Tractor Traylor", but it seems he hasn't shown up lately. With Traylor out for a couple of weeks, we shouldn't miss a beat IMO, because isn't DT supposed to be this team's STRENGTH? We have 10 DT's on the roster for goodness sakes!

Again, What's up with Big Daddy? :confused:

He's been playing, and playing so well that you didn't even notice Traylor was gone :wink:

You'll be seeing a lot more of him now that Keith Traylor is hurt. It's unfortunate that he is injured but the good news is our D-line is stacked with very talented players like Big Daddy Wilkinson and Zgonina who can come in and replace Traylor!

I don't know if you're joking, but this is exactly right. Wilkinson has been playing well all year long, so much so that people often don't realize that Traylor has left the field.

He was inactive against Chicago because Zgonina is from Chicago and so they wanted to activate him in front of his home crowd. The difference was HIGHLY noticeable though as Zgonina generally got pushed around in run blocking to where Cedric Benson was eating up 8-10 yards a pop up the middle at one point.

No joking at all, he'll plug up the line, the announcer will call it, and I'll have to look twice to make sure I heard it right. I can't wait to see Evans rotating in and see how much pressure we can put on Johnson this weekend.
 
Mabe now Fred Evans or Rodrique Wright can get some playing time.
 
Rod Wright hasn't been placed on the active roster yet.

I would hope Fred Evans gets some more time because I want to see the guy play. I'm not hot at all on Zgonina playing the NT spot.
 
Well, I heard that Big Daddy was sick of all the mendacity from the media...

big daddy is a plugger...basically if he soaks up 2 blocks his job is over...because of that he free's up other around him....Teams have been disrepecting traylor attempting to single block him..they paid for it with his career high 4 sacks...

yes, i feel the same way about Zgonina. he won't be here next year so why worry about giving him playing time over Evans.

next year we still need to add another NT as Big Daddy is pretty much the only "real" NT we'll have after Traylor is gone.

To me Evans is a Vonnie Holiday type DT.
 
Big Daddy is a plugger.You wont hear his name often but RBs are not going to get many yards up the middle when he is playing.The LBs will probably get most of the credit for making the tackles.
