A few days ago it looked like Martz was coming in for a 2nd interview. Does anyone have an idea of what happened and if its still a possibility that he could be coming in. I know the reports have been contradicting but we know WH's plane was in Detroit a couple days ago so any info would be nice.

PS Please dont turn this into a Martz bashing thread

Oh they're gonna bash Martz and probably you aswell. Don't feel bad though, Martz seemed a smart choice with all his offensive talent but it seems the guy is "not right in de head." His interview was reported to be quite strange because he didn't hold anyhting back and told WH a few things he should have probably kept to himself.

He wasn't asked back for a second interview, probably because he didn't favor Daunte.

I heard something along the same lines regarding the interview and was hoping it was just a rumor. Its a shame that he is self- sabbotaging since he has a gifted offensive mind that Miami could really take something from.

He may come in, but I think his ego and such it wouldn't work out because of the lack of control he would have and the lack of success he's had as an HC, but who knows...

in they pregame show it said that the only coach that the fins called for a second interview so far was mora jr the rest have just been rumors

Which pregame show was this? Thats good to hear since Im hoping that WH rethinks some of his choices..

He made dreadful gametime decisons as a HC. I remember watching him and repeatedly saying to myself... "WTF is he thinking." Those issues usually resulted in a loss. He's not for us. Move along. Nothing to see here.

I would absolutly love it if Martz became head coach, then we would have the greatest show on turf.

at one point i hated martz when he took over for the rams and everyone thouht he built that team but the real person who built that rams team was dick vermil. this year martz showed me something with the lions o# and i beliave he could be a pretty good coach here.

Martz has all the tact, common sense, & diplomacy of runaway freight train carrying nitroglycerin.

One thing about Martz, I read recently that Belichick said Martz' offense is one of the toughest, if not the toughest, for him to defend.
No matter what the numbers were, we just saw Belichick's D today do a good enough job slowing down Cameron's offense, with the league's best RB and best TE, so the Pats could win the game.
