what's the fascination with 4th string qbs around here?

mcpherson and davey are 4th string on their teams and likely to get cut. why do we want them? if either coaching staff saw any potential they wouldn't be cutting these guys. mcpherson is behind kliff kingsbury on the saints depth chart. davey is behind a rookie! and tim couch lol. when is the last time this guy even played in an nfl game?

have we not learned anything at all over the past 5 years with the likes of damon huard, jay fiedler, ray lucas, and aj feeley? we either need to draft a stud college qb or sign an established nfl STARTING qb. i don't know who will be free agents next year but we need to wait. bringing in these scrubs right now is a waste of a roster space.

AMac will be 3rd this year, then #2 next year. He is not likely to get cut. Not every rumour you read is true.

I am not fascinated with 4th string Qb's. But I do think that McPherson has some potential and if we could get him for nothing why not take a look at him.

I know!! Ever since Danny retired we've had secons rate QBs down here.. At least Frerotte was a legitimate starter at least once in his boneheaded career!

Its going to take time. We should've gone after a Warner or something. I dont like him.. but at least he's starter quality over our guys.

Let's wait for the draft and go from there.
