They will be waiting a long time. The CBA will not get done.

ok but what does that have to do wiht nething in the first place? why not just do it clear up space and sign more players whether it goes through or not. other players have done it before the CBA irght now and miami hasn't.

I know Taylors restructuring depends on what happens with the CBA. If it gets passed, we can save $6 million with Taylor's contract. If it doesn't get passed, we can only save $1 million.

Well $1 Million is better than nothing ... no?

Yeah, but it might matter if a new deal is in place before they can resturcture. Tomorrow night I am sure they will start to work on Taylor's contract, because they will know if the CBA got passed or not.

yes it will

I think it will too but to answer the original question weather or not the new CBA gets done or not determines how much we need to cut in order to sign the FA's we want. If it doesn't get done and we want someone like Brees we will need to make alot of moves but if it does we may be ok now or at least when Gus is let go.

Read the papers and the net...in simplest terms...not much will happen until it is KNOWN what the outcome of the CBA will be...therefore teams are not doing much except preparing for the worst case scenario.

Maybe not.

NFL | Free agency could be pushed back once again

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports there is some thought that if owners are still talking Wednesday night, March 8, free agency could be pushed back another 24 hours.

I think Nublar's point was that they will know yes or no tomorrow night... and so they can start working on it for Friday.

I don't believe the restructuring will be done until the CBA is done (or not). It affects how much money the team has and how long they can spread a contract. I would assume that the Dolphins have contingency plans for both scenarios. Hopefully, we'll only find out about the new CBA scenario.
