I really don't know, but would love to hear some thoughts. However, I will say this: I don't think you can have ONE game plan against them. I think you need to have at least TWO for both your Defense and Offense. I'm not sure if that's feasible in the NFL, but i think its a must to beating that team.
It seems that one of the best things the Patriots do is eventually figure out what your doing to them in the 1st half. Both on Defense and Offense and then making the proper adjustment in the 2nd half.
The Last time we played them on Offense:
As customary we mostly played out of our 3-wide set and built a sizable lead on them. Of course in the second half we stuck to "what was working" and the Patriots brought the counter.
In this case: Unabated Defenders to the QB and we Failed to make proper adjustments.
Thought:
What would of happened if we as a coaching staff said, "You know what? They are going to figure out a weakness to our 3-wide set. So, lets come-out with another offensive I.D. in the 2nd half."
My personal preference would be to go BIG, I-Form etc and become a power running team with the hopes of setting-up PA. Here's why:
1) Considering we had the lead you figure that style of offense would take up time. ( More us and less Brady)
2) Considering they were bring pressure it creates more opportunity in there secondary and the running game if properly picked up and timed(PA). Not to mention likely limiting the "QUICK" T/O that usually gets them back in the game.
3) Keeps them off balance!!! Their game plan for the 2nd half likely was adjust based on what we were doing in the 1st half.
Same though process of Defense:
Is this feasible in the NFL? Does this seem like away of getting a 1-up on the PATS? One thing has to be realized we likely won't win playing them CONVENTIONALLY!! Remember the wild-cat.
