FintheMoon & others from this site have invited us here along with throwing down a challenge to our posters over on JI. We accept your invitation of playing a friendly football game for bragging rights on Saturday, Sept. 22nd, 2007.

Also be advised that any of U that may be coming to the Jets versus Miami game on September 23rd, 2007 is cordially invited to come party at our tailgate before the game.

We are Troop 16H and the mother of all tailgates going in the Meadowlands to date. A $30 donation gets U an all access bracelet to unlimited BBQ fare, snacks, ice cold tap beer (we have a beer truck), cold refreshments and live DJ's that spin everything from Heavy Metal to Country music and back.

Welcome to Finheaven.We have a special sub-forum for the fan site football teams.I am forwarding this thread to it.

The tailgate sounds like a lot of fun .We have players who will be travelling from all over the country to be there.And to calm any suspicions they have only had one friendly practice together and there are no pro or semi pro players on the team.Just a bunch of guys who want to play and have some fun.:D

Hey, I know teal and orange aren't exactly "man colors" but I'm sure U pull it off quite nicely by offsetting your game day outfit with a matching pair of peep toe pumps. Listen sister just worry about U & your guys being ready 2 play on 9/22/07, OK? :wink:

I like that SCall13, trying 2 exude confidence even in the face of almost certain defeat. Good attitude & I'll B sure 2 have a frosty cold one waiting 4 U to cry in at the tailgate party. Did Fin tell U we also have a "burning cross" at Troop 16H where we raffle off the chance 2 burn the opposing teams jersey just before kickoff? We raise money for the Pat Tillman Foundation at every home game & I just found a nice throwback Marino jersey 2 burn in your honor. :sidelol:

i cant believe it. i HAD to go look, but limolady is right, there is a phinfan buring a jersey. what is the story behind this?? i gotta know!!! the ONLY thing i can think is that it was right after ricky retired and he was ticked off!?!?

Ahhh, what men will do for the attention of a beautiful woman, huh? :tongue:

I wish it was that easy, but the short story was his Jet buddy that brought him 2 the tailgate made a bet with me. The Jet fan, some guy Pete I think, said that if his name gets pulled from the raffle bucket, that he would get his Dolphin buddy 2 burn the jersey.

By the hand of God and amongst over $2,000 in fives, tens, twenties and hundred dollar bills, guess who the DJ pulls out as the winner of the bragging rights 2 burn the jersey? And my DJ had no idea about the bet I made with the guy either!

Anyway, Pete got his Dolphin buddy (after much coaxing & cajoling) to do the honors. It was all in good fun, for a very worthy cause & his picture will forever hang in the hallowed halls of the JI Photo Gallery.

The End.

Think U will have better luck than that Finatic? Then roll the dice, throw a few bucks in the Tillman bucket on game day & let's see what happens, shall we? :wink:

No I didn't... Since it is HIGHLY unlikely that I will ever convince you to do the same for a JETS jersey, how about we agree to do the same to the coaches Jersey of the losing team in our football game?!
