i think he has got the ginns now. drop drop drop. he dropped one when he was wide open. the second one i couldnt see very well dont know if it was his fault or just good d. but what i did see was sparano rippin him on the sidelines. he has been very disappointing lately. i hope we can pick up a solid TE soon. haynos and fasano got to go

2 passes it looked like he was afraid to atch because of the hits that were coming. That is not good.

i agree completely, we need start cuttin trash like this off our team. This is the type of junk thats holdin us back.

So according to your genius theory we'd already cut Ginn, Bess, Fasano, Haynos, Hartline, Wilson, Bell, Porter, Groves and Long at the very least.

Smart like dump truck!

Excellent point...even when he catches the ball he curls up...no seriously watch him...it's like he is anticipating a hit coming. At his size he should be looking to deliver the blow. Guys, Haynos is soft....now he can't catch either? He's got to go. Now I see why he was a PS guy, mentally he does not have the attitude of a starting NFL TE. Not sure why Sperry got no love last night.

The 1st catch he realized he was gonna get tackled immediately for a loss and wisely knocked the ball down. The 2nd one both of his arms where grabbed from behind and Dallas Clark couldn't have held onto that pass.

on that 1st pass you have to make a play. he had space to make a move. it didnt look like he knocked it down but maybe he did because he is afraid of getting tackled. sparano wasnt very happy with him. so either way a drop or his lack of confidence in himself, its a bad play

Sorry but your wrong (imo), there was no space and he was going nowhere after the catch. Like I said he was going to take a loss on the play. While watching the game I rewound the play because I wanted to see what happened and it was a smart play by him. Even if he had space the hit wasn't going to be hard more of a quick wrap up so I seriously doubt he was scared.

Either way lets say your right and he should have caught that 1st pass.....really the guy drops a short pass and someone makes a thread about it?

He's only been catching footballs since he was a teenager, give him a break.

/sarcasm

ok a tight end cant muscle out of a quick wrap my bad. hes been dropping passes before this game. sparano was incensed with him like me , but i guess you probably know more about it than sparano. this thread isnt about 1 pass

SPERRY definately needs to be the guy now.

it is obvious he has some real talent and appears to be
an all around football PLAYER!

last night, he wasnt in the pass game plans [wierd] but he
sure was making some killer blocks in the run game. that
shows he is tough and not just a pass happy wanna be wr.

i think what we saw last night was the staff telling haynos that
he still has his job and its his to lose. the staff gives vets the
nod over rookies untill they COMPLETELY fail or the talent behind
them is just to good to ignore.

haynos didnt make much of a case for himself and didnt reward the
staff after they kept him in after sperrys eye popping performance
the week before.

i am not a haynos fan, but i do know why he has been in there because
of the injuries at the position. but this team has a shot at the wildcard
now that we are getting back to normal football. ronnie just waasnt getting
it done with conventional run formations and it was becoming a liability.

with that in mind, having the shot at a wildcard, they cant let the TE position
start losing games for us. agaisnt the bills, the dolphins MUST get sperry
more involved in the passing game. and if he is the playmaker over haynos at
the end of the game, then GO WITH THE HOT HAND!! they cant afford at this
point to stick to a guy just because he is a veteran if he costing us plays and
even games.

ricky and ike are going to be a MASSIVE load and both dont need the wildcat
to get there yards. now add in a young productive TE like sperry and what appears
to be a star in the making with garner plus the young talent on defense and the
youth movement is steam rolling. and lets not forget our young qb who is looking
better every week and is tough and competative and a born leader.

the more young guys who can get reps on the field this year will pay DIVIDENDS
towards next years success. we get a BONAFIDE playmaking wr or two in here
and a lb and NT, next year looks pretty damn exciting with all that in place.

we wont have to go out and get the wr's and fix the pass game just to have a
first year qb trying to run it all. this was the PERFECT time to have henne step in.

lets get whatever talent is showing promise on the field and get them in there and
not let old traditions get in the way. get sperry rolling and get henne that target
over the middle and the reliable saftey valve he needs.

If all we had were great players -- dudes that never miss a catch, or miss a tackle, or miss a free meal we'd be 10-0 right now. Haynos needs to develop and CATCH everything but maybe he'll never be great? It's so difficult to know -- just ask Ireland.

Have you seen what he was doing for our running game..

So the guy has a few drops, now he is a bust !!!
