Now that LeCharles Bentley signed with Cleveland, we are apparently scrambling a little to keep McKinney which probably doesn't bode well for a Mawae pick up. McIntosh is released and talking to Green Bay, and just saw that we let Alonzo Ephraim become an UFA. Not saying any of these guys are great, but where are we going with this? Hopefully we'll have our QB by the end of the weekend, so I'd guess our 1st rd pick will be Winston Justice, or the best lineman available. But is McKinney really the best we can do at center? I really thought we'd upgrade here.

I am sure they would prefer Mawae, but he could be asking for big money. It is obvious he still considers himself to be an elite player, so I won't be the slightest bit surprised if he wants big bucks. Saban has prioritized things, and it looks like Brees is his top priority.

The line made pretty good progress at the end of the year and played solid. I'm not saying I'm comfortable with it by no means but Saban and Mueller are going to be careful where the money is spent. Some of these older FA's that will cost alot probably won't be a high priority. Not saying I agree either.

I wouldn't sweat out the OL. Right now teams are way overpaying for OL. McKinney is a backup and Ephraim is a headcase. How many times did he get flagged on ST? Miami can pick up a guard or center with Hadnot. It's certainly not as important as QB.

With how far Saban is going to get Brees im sure he's going to do everything he can do to protect him come gameday...

Nicks on the case mate, dont worry.

Give it some time; QB is 1st priority-and a BIG one at that. Although I'm pretty curious too just what Saban has in mind. Also just reading that Ephram wasn't tendered an offer (and he is a center) right now we seem pretty thin at that position.

I wouldnt be suprised to see Mawae in a Fins jersey next year. He seems a little bitter at the Jets(see the quote about them wanting smart players and then letting him go) and what better way to get back at them then to tear them up twice a year! Particularly with a division rival.

Pats have 2 UFA OL that were Undrafted and started and played above avg. With Hudson we will be fine!Line with 1st pick and all D after that!

u got to remeber that wade smith was beating out seth in camp before he got hurt to play center plus who knows maybe houck thinks alabi is ready remember wat he did with olivea of the chargers who was a 7th round pick and he put him in there at right tackle as a rookie and made him a solid player
