I was really hyped at first when we signed him but I have not heard anything positive about this guy. I dont know, maybe for Safteys its better to not be heard. Maybe that means he is doing hes job.

I dont know i just thought he would make a bigger impact and from what I read, it looks like he wont even be the starting saftey for our regular season opener. Im kinda disappointed...

He's having trouble learning the defence. Saban's defensive scheme is complicated. Maybe once he's adjusted to that, he will contribute.

Apparently he is having trouble with the playbook and is behind Bell at this stage.I hope he comes around soon.

It's true, no info about him. Bell has been impressive and Jones is doing his job. Remember Lance didn't play much last year becouse of his foot injury.

I find it interesting that everybody is so down on McDougle when this Schulters failure is a much bigger worry. McDougle failing means McIntosh plays...Schulters failing means Bell plays.

The knock on Schulters is the same as most of our safeties, that he's not great in coverage. So, that makes him better suited for stuffing the run at Strong Safety, where he's competing with Tebucky Jones. At this point, Bell and Tillman are 1 and 2 on the depth chart at Free Safety.

I thought for sure that Schulters would come in and make an impact for this team. It's either that Bell is just playing lights out, or it's that Schulters is really doing poorly. Hopefully he can get it all covered in the next week or two.

He's money in the bank. No problem if he needs the time to learn the book. He ought to pay dividends in the future.

Last preseason game is important for us. Questions abound but I remain optimistic we will have a decent year! Go Phins! :)

Thats pretty rediculous. I almost forgot he was on the team as well. He should be doing a lot better than this. He is a veteran and a damn good player. He shouldnt be having this much trouble when rookies and veterans can get it already. Its new to everyone and im disappointed that he couldnt even beat out Yerimiah for the starting job.

That said, I do like Bell and I hope he plays great. I liked Tebucky as well but everyone says hes just a big hitter and nothing more. I get the feeling a majority of you guys dont like him much calling him Tesucky and such. I hope that Lance can get things in order sooner than later

I wouldent say he is failing, he had a good game last game. Dont forget he came in late and it was alot harder to learn the system. After watching Sabans last press confrence what he "basically" said was that Bell played poorly and he was pleased with Schulters, just be patient.
