We have good quality in my opinion and I think this team will do a hellavah lot better than most of these "fans" seem to believe. I see a lot of young talent acquired through these drafts that are blowing me away. (Jimmy Wilson, Moore, Gates, Long, Hartline, Bess, Carpenter, Odrick, Misi, Reshard Jones was 5th round, Vontae, Sean Smith) WHO THE F*** said the dolphins don't develop young talent?!?! I've read that on these forums as well....Remember the Superbowl bound Dallas team last year?! Their fans and media were convinced they were that best and they sucked horribly.

Did you guys pick Arizona to play Pittsburg in the superbowl a few years ago? how about Chicago winning the division from GreenBay, Oakland going 6-0 in their division?! STOP thinking you guys are experts (who go around posting who we should and should not get...like Brady Quinn :p ) and can run this team with your eyes closed. Ross as done everything he can to get this team going straight.

And what the heck with seeing a couple people post the Fins not taking chances like Vick, Wtf who the hell would have thought vick would turn into what he did? McNabb is washed up, and Orton is NOT as good as you think he is. We all wanted Culpepper?!?! Feely?!?! Remember shouting for Rosenfels to get a chance once upon a time?!?! Screw this, I'm excited for the new season to start. Support your friggin team and stop being a hater.

Edit: Don't Forget about the Free Agent Pickups like Dansby, Wake, Marshall, Burnett, Trading for cb Sapp, and teh like this team has done to get better. Bush for excitment?! Our owner has spent a lot of money in the free agent world as well, even for bust like Smiley...we have some close and tought losses last year...I"m not giving up on this team!!

They have brought in good talent except at one critical position and until they do, that talent is being wasted. It's not about hating it's frustration over a long decade that is tired of bad QB play.

then why do we hear about all the other pickups like colombo and misses? I mean, i understand some discontent, but what goes on here at finhell is just over done and repetitive. I actually like what transpired with the QB position. Moore could be a steal. I still say Henne will be tons better than last year in this offense. He has a full deck now. No excuses. He has to do it this year!

Exactly - the frustration isn't so difficult to understand - this Tuna regime came in 4 years ago - our biggest problem was having no franchise QB - it's 4 years later and our biggest problem is still having no franchise QB.

The OL getting off to such a bad start didn't exactly exude confidence that that problem has been fixed either.

But our defense should be very good and our receiving core finally looks deep.

You see talent. I see 11 years of sucking, zero playoff wins, the refusal to draft a quarterback in the first round, and a healthy dose of 7-9. Until all of that changes, neither will attitudes.

I actually like what transpired with the QB position. Moore could be a steal. I still say Henne will be tons better than last year in this offense. He has a full deck now. No excuses. He has to do it this year!

Didn't he have a "full deck" last year when he threw 19 picks to 15 TDs? I mean he did have an elite WR1, a great slot guy in Bess, a decent WR2, and an OL that has the NFL's best LT. I know Henning was awful but it's hard to blame it all on the OC.

Idk but I'm ready to see what Matt Moore can do with the first team at this point.

Every team misses. Now the Pat White pick was stupid but no team is perfect in acquisitions. Unfortunately we have had some really stupid draft picks.

If you think Matt Moore is the answer you are sadly mistaken. This is the problem with bad QB play. You're desperate for a change so anyone looks good. I like Moore but he is not a solution. They have to draft and develop a franchise QB no ifs ands or buts about it.

Great point - I think that not having even the hope of a rookie QB who at least MIGHT develop into our franchise guy is what's so disconcerting to Dolfans. We just feel like we're hopelessly stuck in mediocrity.

If we went 7-9 this year with Mallett (as an example) but at least Mallett showed promise, I think we'd at least have something to look forward to next year - at least feel like we were making some progress for the future.

Just like if we had gone 7-9 last year but it was with McCoy (who we could've drafted in the 3rd round over John Jerry), then at least we'd know we were progressing and may have found our franchise QB.

But to enter yet another season with almost ZERO hope that Henne (or Matt Moore) will even magically develop into a franchise QB - well - that's pretty disappointing.

Hard to throw too many fist pumps for Carpenter FGs unless your Tony Sparano.

In 10 years has this organization given you a reason NOT to be a pessimist?

Look at the track record. Look at the facts.

You have to EARN opimisim.

Every team misses but at least they TRY. We haven't even tried to draft a QB in round 1 since 1983!!!!!

Are you kidding me?!??! Because of that we've missed out on Ryan, Freeman, McCoy and Mallett just in the last 4 years under Ireland. Until we get a GM who gets it - who has the balls and brains to draft QBs early and often until we get our franchise guy - then it's tough to keep asking Dolfans to fist pump for FGs.

I'll also add the fact that our owner himself has shown doubt in the head coach who's still here, and the coach has shown doubt in the quarterback who is also still here. All fuel for the mediocrity fire.

no we did not. The OL was a mess still. we draft pouncey and with berger, who looked good i thought vs. atlanta, teh center pos is locked down. This years draft and FA's brought speed and spreadability. The OC is the ultimate full deck IMO. Henning was predictable. This is a league wide known fact. We will not be predictable IMO. If Henne cant do it now, then he truly is done in Miami. But by the same token, I do not see the henne haters wanting him even if he ends up with a 90+ or close qb rating.

Teams like Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Washington, Houston, etc. have done far less over the past 10 years and are likely to not do anything this year either. However, their fans show up to the games, support the team and have some sort of optimism entering this season. The Dolphins just have an overall ****ty fanbase.

Well said my friend.....at least give your favorite team a chance to fail before sticking a fork in them...

This FO has upgraded the DL, LB, Secondary, OL, RB and WR in this short offseason....with special teams looking like a upgrade early.....now lets see if it results in more wins.
