Whats up with you Pessimist?!

Whatever man, if you chose to be blind to the problems in the stands be my guest. When playoff games are being blacked out, thousands of empty seats, and 35-40% of the fans are opposing fans is indeed a problem. But hey, Cowher and Luck would magically solve a problem that is 15 years or more old. You can bash the front office, coaching staff and players, but when the attention is turned on you the fan, you refuse to acknowledge the problem. You can't take the heat.

Maybe the problem is there's too many like you down here, Nub. You're from PA, so why the heck aren't you a Steelers or Eagles fan? Mhm... : p

Do they have the statistics that show how many opposing fans walk into the stadium? That you can eyeball and it is a very disturbing number.

Detroit's last 3 years look like this....56,000, 49,000 and 54,000 +........and yet all you can do is dump on the Dolphin fanbase and use those pathetic numbers as a beacon for what Dolphin fans are not?

Yeah the 73,000 fans that showed up to watch the 0-13 Dolphins beat the Ravens in 2007 were losahs.

Have you ever been to a Dolphins away game? We are well represented EVERY time.

Why are there thousands of Dolfans in Minnesota?

Once again, there is a difference between paid attendance and actual attendance. Those numbers do not include the split between Dolphins fans and opposing fans. Wake up. Does what I am saying piss you off? Good, do something about it.

Do you really believe that 73,000 fans went to that game? Come on now.

I have been to numerous away games, and yes the Dolphins do represent well. However, nothing matches what you see in Miami from opposing fans.

People are sick of wasting money on a bad product. It's that simple. We have been mediocre for the past decade and will continue to be mediocre and compete for 3rd place for the foreseeable future.

I made the change of not renewing my tickets...choosing to spend a little of that money on a very nice tv/entertainment unit...I'll watch at home now.

The numbers I posted on Detroit were paid attendance, now how many do you suppose actually showed up? How many Bears, Vikings & Packer fans show up in Detroit for the 3 home games Detroit has against their geographically close division rivals?

I'm not pissed off, just correcting the propaganda you are expousing.

Are Dolphins fans(attendance) the best in the league.....hell no.

Are they worst?.....not even close. Tampa had a good team last year and every game they played was blacked out locally.

So dumping on the Dolphin fanbase seems a bit misguided to me.

Until the other team can't function on the field because we are so loud...we do not have enough Dolphin fans in the stands. Can we just leave it at that?

please, stop with the "no qb since 83 BS. We didnt friggen need one till Dan retired - when was that, 1999. So, it's really been 12 years since we really needed a qb, and you cannot say that the franchise hasnt looked for one. We have had 15 different starters since 99. 4 of them had careers that were decent, its just a shame that all bar one - Chad P - didnt continue to play well in Miami.

There it is... Right there is the problem... The root of all evil...

YOU NEVER stop developing at QB!!! EVER!!! You expend pick after pick, you take bust after bust until you find a franchise guy and then you KEEP ON doing it behind him... On and on... This is exactly how important the position is...

Even when you find another good one behind your franchise guy you can turn either of them into VALUABLE assets through trade... Matt Cassel, Drew Bledsoe style... How have we not learned this with the Patsies in our own Division no less??? :bobdole:

This year, the Pats who might be the LAST team in the league with need at QB pick up Mallet and the Phins who might have been one of the teams with the GREATEST need at QB... Pass. It is actually incredible and not in a good way.

Ask the Bears about that.

When the Dolphins are consistently winning, the band-wagon fans will return. Until then they've fled to the Patriots and Steelers.

This argument is Ludicrous! First off from someone who travels to multiple NFL cities a week and interacts with passengers wearing football gear and talking shop I can promise you Dolphin fans our no worse then the majority of fan bases associated with struggling teams. Hell as the lockout was lifted and FA started I spent hours listening to am1000 in Chicago. The Bears fans want Lovie and Angelos head on a platter for a lack luster FA period and Martz pushing to dump Olsen. Yes Nublar Bears fans one of the most loyal fan bases in the league, with a long season ticket waiting list and probably 95% of every home sellout Bears faithful. By the way they were in the NFC Championship game last year and have been the Superbowl in the last 5!

As far as your concern about large numbers of opponents fans in our stadium. Well Ft. Lauderdale/Miami is a vacation hot spot. I talk to opposing fans that tell me as soon as the date their team is playing Miami or Tampa is announced they get online to book their airfare and hotels. It is as simple as that for a New Yorker or a M******* the idea of escaping the snow in Nov/Dec and watching their team play is pretty appealing. Last year fans from Cleveland and Detroit planned their vacation around those games.

Last week alone I was in Denver, Chicago, Cleveland, KC, Baltimore, Washington, and Charlotte. Even Ravens fans call in and have concerns it doesn't make you a bad fan. If you are a fan base like Cleveland that continues to sellout, by the gear, by the season tickets and line the pockets of your RICH owner while he provides a crap product you get what you deserve!
