All I read are "great games for Ronnie and Ricky". And then in the next sentence 'trade Ricky'.

WHY? Did we forget what it's like not to have a running game the past 30 years? :goof:

We finally have 2 good RB's and I say we keep BOTH just in case one goes down. And together, we've got a GREAT running game especially in 1-2 years when our line and QB play is better.

No point trading Ricky.

You're not going to get more than a 2nd round pick at the very most for Ricky from here on out. He has a lot more value to us on the field than he does as trade bait. Keep him.

If somebody is willing to overpay in terms of draft picks then you trade Ricky. Ronnie Brown being 230 pounds could easily be the work horse of this team. So Sammie Morris might have to touch the ball 5-7 times a game to give Ronnie a Breather, no big deal. This being said, now that the raiders have Lamont Jordan I don't think anybody is going to overspend on Ricky.

I think you'd be lucky to get more than a 4th. Most GM's and coaches will be nervous trading for a player who has proven to be untrustworthy.

Depends on what is offered. If a team offered their 1st this year and a 3rd round pick next year dependent upon offensive contribution...you wouldn't scratch your head about it?

in all honesty, if someone offered us a second theyd probably do it. i hope we dont trade him. think about it, the only reason why most people arent hoping we keep him long term is because they are afraid he will quit again. anyways, ricky doesnt get payed much, i could see trading him if he made big time money. we need to keep him, there is something special about this guy and i think if we take care of him and treat him decent he will help this team big in the long run. not to mention, runnning backs careers last shorter than almost all the other positions because they lose their legs from use. if we keep these guys together they could have long careers. why over use ronnie brown like caddy when we have ricky who is every bit as good, realistically has the ability to be one of the top backs in the league.

I would keep Ricky, unless someone made such an offer that we could not refuse. Its great to have two good quality backs for once. We went years without even having one decent back. As we saw in this last game if the game plan is better then both rb's can be successful. And when you get ahead in the game you can continue to run it and take time off the clock, and rest the defence.

who would give up anything for a back that is 1 failed drug test away from a 1 yr suspension?

No team in their right mind will give up what he's worth to THIS team. Not only that, but IF they did, they would still have to hope Ricky is happy enough with their team not to quit again. Trading him is all crazy talk, IMO.
