Whats with You guys and Power Rankings!!!????

We are not going to earn any respect! we just have to go take it!!! so please stop with the power ranking blues who cares what they think none of them play the game or are loyal diehards like us so just stop it!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Actually, someone posted one earlier where we were ranked 5th. Thats, uh, pretty good.

While we are on the subject, is there anything else we shouldnt care about? What players should we like? When should we start to think about the draft? What should my favorite color be? :unsure:

Honestly, I believe these "Power Rankings" are about as useful as a sh*t flavored popsicle. But, it gives people something to talk about.
 
of course power rankings don't matter. none of it matters. discussing the team on a message board doesn't matter. it's just something to pass time and waste away our lives until we DIE.
 
I happen to love power rankings :)
 
I agree...who cares what some media guy who watches a handful of games and a bunch of highlights thinks about the Fish.
 
ah how easy it is to deny we care about how the world sees us :lol:

We as a fan base knows exactly where we stand (for the most part) on talent and intensity but our co-worker John Doe who worships the Jets, or Pittsburgh or Dallas does not.

So when he pulls up the power polls I admit- yes, a guilty pleasure of mine.. I admit it is nice to for him to see we are not in the bottom 10 in the league. As a Dolphin fan last year people looked at me with pity, this year they do not. Not because they have even seen a Miami game (odds are they do not even know who our starting qb is) but they know who we are because the very first place John Doe signs onto tuesday morning is the power rankings.

I care about what goes on, on the field but at the same time I dont want to get those pity looks from last year.

Rank the Jets 3 in the power polls then rank the Dolphins 22 and sit back and watch the board light up. I think quite a few people here (but may not admit it) actually do care what other people think about us.

Its good to know how the rest of the nation views the Fins. I don't really care what they say or not, I just like to see what other peoples opinions are. If they have them at 25 I don't care whether I agree or not, Its just like looking at boths sides of an argument. I believe the NFL.com has us at like 11, I don't think the team as a whole belongs that high, they haven't played that well together yet to decide that.

But then again that is my opinion and one reason I like these power rankings, just a way to fulfull curiosity and look at different view points.

Does that answer your question, or at least for me it does.
