What's wrong with these pictures?

One of these kids is not like the other, one of these kids just isn't the same.

Pennington looks sharp in the new duds but............Pennington has changed out his old school facemask.

His Joe Namath, Dan Marino, Dan Fouts, Drew Bledsoe, full cage for a new style reciever mask.

I guess WHO CARES as long as he's making plays but I thought the old mask was Pennington's trademark.

It was old school, looks like a working man, tough guy mask for a QB.

His old mask (the Schutt JOP-SW, although Penny is wearing the RJOP-SW in the Jets picture)) is no longer manufactured (of course NFL teams have access to them still). Same goes with the Riddell Revolution G2B mask (like Peyton Manning wears). It is really odd that he would switch masks, though (although Troy Aikman and Boomer Esiason did the same thing throughout their careers)
