Have to say, really surprised right now with the direction we are going in free agency. Thought we were going to go all in on some guards, and have yet to see that, but we played it smart with OV and won't have to deal with any of that 85 million dollar undeserved contract. Mario Williams, Kiko Alonso, Byron Maxwell, and Isa Abdul-Quddus are our initial targets and we really blended risk with reward with those four players. Mario gives us another proven pass rusher and quality run defender on a fair 2yr deal, Kiko could become the ILB that we desperately need and is on a rookie contract, Maxwell gives us size and strength to go up against the bigs of the AFC East, and Isa is an under the radar quality player that gives us a starter alongside Jones. And while not a move per se, keeping Wake was CRUCIAL to me as a Dolphin fan, as he has been the Jason Taylor of the decade and yes he is getting up there in age and now coming off an injury, still is one of the best to play the game and with his work ethic he should be able to come back and be the force we all know he is. Sad to see Grimes go, but wouldn't restructure and his wife ran him out of town.

So now that we've pretty much cleared day 1 of Free Agency, where would you go from here? For me, I definitely want some OLine help, seeing as most of the best are gone now, I'm looking at Geoff Schwartz, who we've talked to, or Fernando Velasco/Vladmir Ducasse. I also would like to see another corner added to the mix, Mo Claiborne as a project for Vance Joseph comes to mind. A runningback after Lamar Miller went to the Texans would be nice, Tim Hightower/Joique Bell/Reggie Bush/Ronnie Hillman could be solid cheap veterans. Also seems like we wanted another run stopping DE, would like to see Jarvis Jenkins in the mix for consideration there. Also another ILB for depth behind Alonso as backup in case he re-injures himself, like Sean Spence of Pittsburgh.

So for me, if we could ideally come away Schwartz/Claiborne/Bell/Jenkins/Spence we can go into the draft and purely take BPA.

Thoughts?

I've completely given up thinking rationally. Guard should have been out 1st priority. Instead, we lost out on the top ones and will be 1. Left with the crap at the bottom to choose from, 2. Give up a BPA opportunity to draft one, or 3. Roll with Dallas Thomas again... Think I am going to crawl in a hole.

What does everyone think of J. Freeman at LB? He's still there and there's not much buzz around him right now ...played really well and graded out well last season, we may be able to get him relatively cheap

I'm not sure, wasn't he the PFF overall best rated ILB? Never really seen him play so no clue.

You can throw BPA out the window.

As scary as our OL situation is, our corner situation is just as bad.

Is Maxwell our #1 CB? Say we signed Claiborne.... Maxwell, Claiborne, Jamar Taylor and Bobby McCain is going to upgrade our corners?

Despite the headcase that he is, we needed Pacman. We better hope Prince signs, cuz if not, we need to find a first round pick that can play corner and guard.

You people make me laugh. The 2nd and 3rd tier of free agents usually can have the most value for a team. Lots of players left to be signed at areas of need and we have already addressed 4 starters at positions of need.

Here are the needs I thought this team had; and I think in order:
OG-nothing yet
LB-Alonso: need more depth
CB-Maxwell in, Grimes out: need a number one
S-Isa Abdul Qudus
DE-Williams
