To me it's not about the issue of breastfeeding. That's natural and the best health for a child. To me it's issue of taking a picture and posting it for the world to see. I mean why? Why does our culture feel the need to share everything and anything with people who don't know you. I don't get it. It's one thing to use social media to be social. It's another to show your boobs to the public and expect everyone to be cool with it. My wife breastfed our kids and often that meant she had to do it in public. She was conservative about it and threw a blanket over the child so nobody could see her breast. Why have we lost that modesty today?

Agreed. My wife and I had our first child 4 months ago and she breastfeeds her every day. My wife and I don't have twitter and even if we did, no one would see the breastfeeding taking place. It isn't because we're against it, obviously since she breastfeeds her anyway, but it doesn't need to be broadcasted.

If my wife was out in public doing it she'd bring a privacy blanket with her. It's an intimate and private moment.....not one for perverts to get their rocks off on.

The fact that she is standing up posing just screams at the attention whore that she is! In Gisele's picture she is sitting down holding her child and seems to be multitasking like it's not a big deal. However, in this picture his girl is trying way too hard. She really should find another way to get attention.. EASY just do exactly what you're doing but without the child.

Looks to me like she was walking around the house when the pic was taken. So, the fact that one is standing and one is sitting, is what makes one right and the other wrong? You a joke dude. One is white and the other is black. That's the real difference.

Hahah please just stop it seems like you're the joke bringing race into this..Look at two pictures and clearly there are some differences besides the colors of their skin. One is posing while the other one (Gisele) doesn't even seem to realize the picture is being taken.

People can do what they want. However if you display your body like that in front of the world just expect positive and negative reactions. To do this and then get frustrated because people speak negatively is unrealistic.

It doesn't change the discussion but Gisele certainly knew the photo was being taken b/c she tweeted this:
