When are the June 1st cuts made?

Is it by 12:00am June 1st or by 12:00am June 2nd? I haven't seen but one all day long. That was Nick Harper. I hought there would have been more than that.:dunno:

I believe it's actually June 2, but no-one is expecting much early activity. I'm a little suprised by Harper...former Colt CB? Wasn't he just traded? Are you sure about this?

I stand corrected. I went back checked, it was Kelly Herndon cut by Seattle. Sorry for the brain fart.
 
They can be cut anytime after June 1st up until the beginning of the last preseason game and get the same benefit.

In past years teams needed the cap space to sign their rookies, but teams are now doing a much better job of managing the cap, being fiscally responsible with their signings, and the large recent increases in the cap amount have basically made June 1st meaningless. There likely won't be any significant releases...

The only affect it may have is in KC and the Trent Green deal, they now get a little additional cap space if they trade him, but I don't think that was a factor in the delay.

Thanks for checking...I would have been shocked to see Harper get cut. Herndon isn't a bad player...and not that it means anything, but he's usually good for some points in my fantasy league....gets tackles and defends passes. I wouldn't mind Miami sniffing around him.

Howdy, Gooves...I remember you from Curt's old board....haven't been there in a while myself. Glad to read you again.
 
Kelly Herndon...maybe?

Herndon has been ok, not great, but with the front seven we have, he may be worth a look. With Goodman's should injury, it may not hurt. 2.5 mil may be a problem though.
I need help on this one...I usually don't advocate other guy's rejects. What say you who have more info on Herndon? :unsure:
