I expected to see some players cut by now. It can't take very much video viewing to decide what players were stinking the place up in 2007!!!!

I just think that there are a few players who stunk it up almost every week. Guys like Liwienski, Schulters, David Martin etc.

Patience grasshoppa. The staff was just completed a week ago and Sparano himself said they just turned their attention to evaluating the players.

My best guestimate would be at the start of free agency on February 29.

I think they will stay a little after evaluations just for the fact that the front office won't cut players they need. We have so many needs for talent that cutting all the players that "fail" they're evaluation will be way to high. Wait until after Free Agency and the Draft before you start to see a rash of cuts.

I agree with you here,i think it's too soon yet, especially with the coaching staff having been just completed

Well I don't know about everyone else.... But I felt alot better seeing Schulters with the DB's than Cameron Worrell. Last season was just a nightmare....injuries, coaching.... thank god for the off-season!

MIA won't actually need to cut any players until the have signed their replacements because of how much space MIA has under the salary cap. Teams usually cut players by MAR 1 because of a need to get under the salary cap. MIA isn't on that dilema this offseason.

They will probably actually "re-sign" a couple of guys we have like M Lehan, G Camarillo, and D Pope before they begin to "cut" anyone. They are that good under the cap.

But expect M Booker and maybe Zach Thomas to be cut sometime this offseason.

We Dolphin Fans just sow how loyal we are to our team. My uncle and Grandfather just wouldn't leave me alone about being a Dolphins fan. O well, be laughed at now and laugh at them down the road, Right? Patience really Sucks :(

Yeah what he said. Schulters actually played pretty decent, but I only saw huge mistakes from Worrell. Schulters may actually be good as a 4th or 5th Safety just based on his experience alone. Could picking him up half way through last season have helped Jason Allen improve his game? Allen looked good in the last 8 or so games and I bet Schulters was in his ear a lot helping him learn.

Ya, I never thought of that, good point! In the misery of the season, who would have thought Jason Allen stepping up? It sucked Schulters missed that lock for an INT vs the pats late in the season.... but Worrell would never have made a play like that, I'd be surprised if he is on the roster this season, being tough against the run and selling out to make a tackle is one thing...being a playmaker is another.

Damn, Worrell is verrry unpopular around here.

There were a number of games where he was one of the very few guys who looked like he really wanted to hit anyone. He is really a special teams guy. He was probably 4th or 5th string safety but because of all of the injuries he ended up playing a lot....

they just cut 9 players today!

go to thephinsider.com for details:

The Dolphins announced today that they have cut nine players. Four of them are relatively big names. Those are Trent Green, Marty Booker, LJ Shelton, and Keith Traylor. The Dolphins also waived Anthony Alabi, Joe Toledo, Anthony Bryant, Marion Dukes, and Marquay Love.
