When do u guys think saban will announce the starting QB for this week??

i would hope its before that because they would have to be head ready for the game
 
I have a feeling that he will go w/ Sage. The reason I say this is because during his postgame PC, he wasn't defending Frerotte like he has other players that have screwed up in the past (such as Denney). Therefore, my hunch is Sage will be starting. If we could ever get a QB that could be accurate, we may have some semblance of an offense.
 
sage has to get a chance, we need to know if he is a NFL QB over the next ten games, i would rather find out and be ready for the offseason then hang in there for the division and be at the same place next year
 
IMO because of how close the AFC East race is right now I think it will buy Gus more time as starting QB. I'm not a Gus fan by any means.
 
I think it will be later in the week than Monday. I could see them spliting snaps and then anouncing it gameday or the day before based on how the practice goes.
 
I think Sage would give a certain spark to the offense. However I am concerned with 2 things

1. We are not commited to the run game.

2. Our Defense is not playing well at all.

Saban still needs a year or 2 to get the system in place. No matter who the QB is at the end of the year it may take a year or 2 to find our franchise QB.

I don't care when he announces it as long as I don't see Frerotte anymore...unless
he's playin for the Jets or Buffalo.
 
I got the feeling he is not making a change. I believe he still thinks this offense can work with Gus under center. He'll probably change his mind when/if Gus sucks against the Saints.

He'll name the starting QB to the team this week, but we may not find out until gameday.

I think he will make a decision early, but wont announce it til late in teh week if not gameday.
