Jesus, what a bunch of whiners we got today.
The fact is we got beat by a team that we had the chance to beat (Again). The difference between the dolphins and the patriots comes down to one word: EXECUTION! Wanny had a great game called for 99% of what happenned. IF McMichael blocks Harrison, we may be talking about a 7-3 win vs a 12-0 loss.
Get over it.
We are a flawed team. So is every other team in the NFL. The difference is that the patriots executed and we didn't.
Now on to the last 3 games and next year.
The next 3...We can win them all, sneak into the playoffs, and have a shot at teams like Baltimore or KC/Indy in the 1st round. We may see the pats in the 2nd round if we make it past the first, etc. It ain't any more over than it was after the Tennessee game.
As for next year:
We will probably have a new coach.
We will probably have a new QB (even if Jay leads us into the playoffs, he is still an injury prone QB)
We will build this team around our D and McM, Chambers, and Rickey. We need to shore up the O line, get a bona fide #2 WR (not drafting Calico, Boldin, or Washington was our biggest offseason gaffe), and get a serviceable QB (Kitna, Brunell) to run the O.
Cheer up phin fans, it could be worse. We could be The Vikings, the Raiders, the bills, the jets, or even the Bucs (although I'd suffer a losing season next year to get a SB trophy this year).
