It happened on our 2nd play of the game. We had just come off of completing a deep ball to Wallace (I know...if Tannehiil hits him in stride it is a TD) for 50 yards. We have the Patriots on their heels right out of the blocks. A mediocre offensive coordinator worth their weight in salt would keep the pressure on the defense, go hurry up and hit them for another big gain or take a shot to the end zone. What do we do?

1st and 10 at NE 30 (14:43) (No Huddle, Shotgun) L.Miller right guard to NE 29 for 1 yard (V.Wilfork).

Brilliant call. :( It was right there I knew we were doomed. OK...we will redeem it here on 2nd down. What is the call? Take that shot...pull out the dagger and gut them. Right? Nope.

2nd and 9 at NE 29 (14:07) (Shotgun) R.Matthews left end to NE 26 for 3 yards (J.Casillas).

There we go...a read option where Tannehill runs off the tackle and then throws it back to Matthews. WHA? It was then that I said, 3rd and long...of course we run it because that is MIAMI DOLPHIN FOOTBALL BABY! Of course what happens?

3rd and 6 at NE 26 (13:29) (Shotgun) L.Miller left end to NE 23 for 3 yards (D.McCourty; Cha.Jones).

AMAZING. I am sure New England was just lucky there and we almost caught them off guard with that call. :hump: Unreal. We come out the blocks with a huge play and then follow it up with this crap. Pretty much conceding 3rd down and settling for a FG. I then look to my friend and say, "I guarandamtee you that this attempt is blocked.". Sure enough...

4th and 3 at NE 23 (12:47) C.Sturgis 41 yard field goal is BLOCKED (J.Collins)

THAT RIGHT THERE IS WHY WE LOST THE GAME! You can take anything else that happened along the way and that was just par for the course. It is who we are. Williams dropped TD pass...it is who we are. No pass interference call on the possible TD pass to Clay or on the deflection interception. It is who we are...we don't get these calls. Taking Jordan off of Gronk after he shut out Gronk in the first half...only we do something as brilliant as that. Gibson taking away an automatic first down and 15 yards because he is who he is and, hence, we are what we are. It all goes back to the first series, the first set of calls and what set us up the rest of the game.

A first and 10 run is not a bad play. Not at all.

Now the 3rd and 6 outside pitch? Yeah, that's a bad call. I yelled at the TV.

As soon as we handed off on 3rd and 6 I knew it was over. Then when the fg unit came out it cemented it. The block was just icing on the **** cake. You cant play conservative in the situation you are in there. Maybe in Miami, but no way can you beat new england in foxboro with fg's. When they returned it for a td all I could think was "thats what you get philbin for being a *****!" That was an instant lesson for him right there.

Yeah if you are going to run it on 3rd down at least have the balls to go for it on 4th down.

That's funy because it is probably when Joe muttered to himself, "Oh crap, we're done." Lol!

After the Pats crammed the ball down our throats to start the 3rd quarter, in response, we fire back with more inept play calling on our next drive. That is when I knew we were going to lose.

FG's to start the game are never good. Unless it's like 3 solid plays to the end-zone, you don't cough up momentum that early.

It was bad from the stand point we let off the throttle. We go no huddle, shotgun and then run what everyone in the stands, at home and on defense knew we would do.

3 plays after long completion to Wallace I knew we were ****ed!

At the end of the 1st half.....I felt great. But I knew that Pats got the ball back to start the 2nd half and we needed a defensive stand. We didn't get one. That is when I knew the game was not going to go our way.
