Like you know how year in and year out colts, steelers, and patriot fans enjoy 12-14 victories and they just "know" that its a playoff year all throughout the season? When's the last time we had a year where even in weeks 2 and 3 we knew we were going to the playoffs?

I think the first year Dave Wannstedt was a coach was the last time I really felt like that.

When Saban came I though it would become like it also.

For me it was 2002, We were playing very well early in the season and we'd made the playoffs 5 consecutive years, I thought the playoffs were a lock. not making them in the end was really disappointing :(

Last time we had a great year all year was in 1972, undefeated baby!

I don't think you can have a game considered successful unless you win, so in that sense, we are the only team in the history if the NFL to "have a great year all year".

Good point

Even the 2007 Patriots have nothing on us.

2002. We had great teams for a few years, but no QB & thin at WR.

The problem was WanStash was blinded by Fielder & didn't try to upgrade. Then tried to solve the WR issue without common sense, using panic moves for average guys.

If WanStash had just picked up solid vets who were let go (for free) & drafted QB & WR, we had a chance for a couple superbowls. Traded away our picks on goofy moves ... glub glub, we slowly sank!!

1984 and then again in 1985. We should've played and beaten the Bears in the Superbowl. Effin' Patriots!!!
