I have a question: Let say Satele plays the center position better than Colledge is playing the guard spot. If the idea is to get the best 5 guys to play as a cohesive unit.....Do you move Pouncey (when he returns) to Guard? Our OL would look like this:

Albert Poucey Satele Smith James

If our guard play continues to be as bad as it has been....do you think our OL coach will attempt such a move? :ponder:

Why? If its that simple move alligator arms to guard, and let the pro bowl Center, play Center.

This isn't Madden.

Mike is not Maurkice. I've wanted Mike at guard (his natural position in college) since the day we drafted the ignorant toad.

Then we should be just as thankful it's not NCAA video game either considering Mike's severe snap problems while at Florida.

His snap problems lasted only a few games and once he got used to it...they went away...

Yep, pro bowl center playing pro bowl level football is a mistake.

 there is not going to be any starting OL with Shelley Smith in there. Just wait until this week and watch him get destroyed worse than Thomas vs below average DTs. If Pouncey were to play OG it would be at RG, and Colledge would be the LG. Thomas played horrible last week against one player, Shelley got beat several times vs backups, even once in the run game that gave up a TFL and he is supposed to be good at run blocking. Thomas is bad but Shelley is on a whole other level of sorry.

Guess who makes the line calls that equaled 58 sacks? He had no business being in Hawaii last year after the way our line played. None. Worst o-line in franchise history. Calling him a Pro-Bowler is an embarrassment.

Not only that, but when journeyman Garner took over for him with the same group of guys, the line actually played better.
Pouncey is not a great player. He is not even as good as Garner (who also has versatility) IMHO.

Putting him at RG might be the way to go. He could not do any worse than Dallas Thomas or Shelly Smith.

It lasted more than a few games. His entire senior year at Florida, all of his rookie season here and into training camp his second season by mid-camp his second year they were gone. I remember thinking at the beginning of his 2nd training camp that we should have drafted a Center and moved him to guard cause reports of him botching snaps were getting frustrating.

Seriously? He's responsible because Clabo and McKinney and Martin had no business being on a football field? Or the fact the guards were being walked back into Tannehills lap? The embarrassment is the assertion you have made.

If we get no one else Satele and Pouncey need to be on the field. We won't get 2 yds a carry with this open gap named Thomas.

Thanks for the responses guys! I was wondering if it was possible to do this...since Mike played OG in college some....I believe that the reason they haven't settle on a staring unit yet if because they really are trying to get the best 5 guys in there playing together...
I asked a question here...and someone gave me One start???? Ohhh well...I guess they didn't like the question!

Way to go (or go go) Mike?

Agreed; The OL did do better w/o the snake, the psycho, & the hooligan!!

I've never seen so many mispellings of names as I do here

Soprano, Tannyhill, Puncey, Deion Jordan, etc., all the time

Pouncey is a better run blocker than Satele -- it would make sense, if you don't aquire anyone else, to leave Satele at Center and move Pouncey to Guard for the remainder of this season. Then next season, add two quailty Guards.
