I was absolutely stunned when the crowd booed him. Is it his fault he is a Chief? I cheered him because I loved him as a Dolphin and I miss him on our team a lot. I was pretty bummed that the crowd did that.... I was happy to see him play again... KC dominated us.

Lots of boos last night.

They were boo'ing all the chiefs.. they boo'd as the chiefs came out and didn't stop until the dolphins where lining up.

...and then started boo'ing again after Frerotte's INT.

Shows how quickly people's memory fades to Chiefs vs. Dolphins. Did not see much support for Gus. I was hearing misc. boo's as early as the end of the 1st quarter.

I was there and I didnt boo pat, I booed the rest of them, everyone always boos the opponent when they come out.

Yeah we could have showed him some respect. But since I've been here on this forum I'm begining to realize how rude and self centered allot of Dolphins fans are. I think we need a "Get out of yourself and into the team" banner on the mainboard. Maybe I just found this place at a bad time but it seems the majority sure like to point fingers and second guess when things go wrong. I don't know..... I have only been here about 3 weeks so maybe I'm just catching all the whiners in light of our performance as of late.

I missed the first part of the game.. I would have never booed Pat.. Thats not cool.

Actually yes it is. Don't get me wrong I don't fault Surtain for wanting to get a new deal. But he most certainly could have stayed in Miami if he really wanted to. All he had to do was take less money and the trade never would have happened.

I was there too. There was some booing of Pat, but not from me. There was some booing of a lot of things actually. I can't lie to you, turns out not too many people are happy with Gus Frerotte.

Pat was one helluva player. He is sorely missed.

Yes, he could have taken more money, but why should he? Would you give up your chance to make as much money while you can, knowing you only have a few more years left in your career. He won't be in the league 5 years from now. He's not just a smart player, he's a smart businessman. It's not like he held out for a new contract during a period he was already signed.

I wish him well. He gave us many good years.

ill always be a fan of pat, i dont know why they did that, he'd still be here if we were smart with our money, thanks wanny

It must not have been too "loud" a collective boo. It's not like it was some stadium staller! I was there, and maybe my section was less noisy. Some clapped or stayed silent; it's quite obvious we miss the guy...I even saw some people inadvertently (or maybe not?) clap when his name was announced as the one credited with the tackle.
I have always like Pat Surtain, and I think that saying he was "booed" doesn't exactly translate to the overlapping of name announcing or welcoming the whole opposing team in general.
