We werent better coached. And even if we where close last year, we where close this year alot too. (Pats, Bills, Falcons)

Yeah we were better coached...haha...that's the funniest part of the your thread. Guys confessed that some people quit during games. The only time anything remotely close to that has happened this year was with the Browns, this post is way off man. We were "in" those games, but we didn't really have a chance to win them because as soon as we got our hopes up, someone was snagging a pick six--ballgame.

Hmm.. Which is why even with this better defense, we didnt win as many games.

And for the record, our vanilla D of the Wanny/Bates era never made one big stop when the O needed it most. Nick's D did last week... and several other weeks when they kept us in the game only to have the O fall short (see Pats, Bills and Falcons games)

In a game like last weeks we would have folded under dave, but saban keep the guys mentally in it and to quote john madden

'90% of the game is half mental'
