I know it is just preseason
however i do think it is an encouraging sign that Miami came back to win
even if it only meant Miami backups are better then Atlanta's..

Usually when Miami would get down
more than a touchdown
it was an automatic loss
the big play threat is what the dolphins team has been missing since Marino
Maybe Moore can become our little Moorino.

The big punt return play by livas
leaves sparano with some tough decisions to make..
With 3 players competing for one spot
Roberto Wallace, Moore and livas
all show encouraging signs..

What is really surprising is we were able to come back
with zero running game
and Moore had some pressure in his face
and made big pass plays says
he might be able to compete on a high level..

What's ironic about that ?

Because that's not what irony means, nor is it close to the definition of irony.

It is ironic because people were pissed we didn't get orton and that ireland didn't draft a qb
And this kid Moore who nobody expected would do anything is turning heads and was player of the game.

Wins and losses don't matter in the preseason. The only thing that matters is how your starters look. On offense, units that struggle in preseason usually struggle in the regular season as well, though success in the preseason =/= success in the regular season. There seems to be less of a correlation on defense, probably because defenders aren't playing with the same abandon in games that don't count.

question Why is wallace, Moore, Livas compeating for 1 spot? We have Marshall, bess, hartline, gates that only 4, I think We carry 6 WR Wallace, Livas if he keeps lighting it up.

LOL okay...

In other news, running every single play is a GREAT way to come from behind with a large deficit. Having absolutely no idea what a "2 minute drive" even means also helps! Damn I hope daboll can teach this team how to run a half-way decent 2 minute drive. Henning's strategy was "OMIGOD LET'S RUN IT, THEY'LL NEVER EXPECT IT!"

Well when your 1st team looks bad and you cannot run the ball then there is hope when you point out something like this. At least for the first preseason game.

Its the preseason. We had our comeback when all of the starters were sitting on the bench sipping Gator Aid. I wouldn't read into it much.

This is nothing like a regular season comeback. The same guys that played both the winning and losing sides are out of the game. The guys coming in don't really care about the score, haven't just got their butts kicked, and their only concern is doing their job and making the team. Plus they are playing against other guys in the same situation. Unlike regular season what happened in the 1st quarter has nothing to do with what will happen in the 2nd quarter.

The guys we need to perform in the opener vs New England quickly fell behind 17-0 when they were up against a decent team. That is scary.

To try and answer your question I think it was 2005 with Sage Rosenfels against the Bills, or was that 2006? I don't remember coming back from that much since then but I may be forgetting a game.

The one I remember is against Buffalo in 2005 (?). The Rosenfels-Chambers explosion.

i could be wrong but i think it was buffalo in '05. I don't think anyone cares about this one though because it was preseason.....

He was playing against the Falcon's 2nd and 3rd team defenses......the word your looking for is "delusional" not "ironic"

That was an awesome game. I started cursing out midway through the 1Q, but boy did the Phins deliver... I lost my voice after that sideline catch Chambers made in the last drive (IIRC), it was a third down that he converted with one of his customary circus catches. Then again, he dropped a pass one or two plays later... reliable, that kid was.

The original poster is really grasping for straws. The final score doesn't matter in preseason. It's all about how your starters play, taking a look at younger players and guys on the bubble and trying to get through the PS without any major injuries. I've seen Dolphins preseason games that we've lost and felt quite good about and have seen games (like Friday's that left me concerned).

You guys are still obsessing over week 1 of the preseason! Just wait til the starters leave the field on week 3 before we crucify them.
