I didn't look this up so I might be wrong, but I believe the last time we had a safety was when Jermaine Haley had one against the Bills in 2000. The last one before that was when Daniel Stubbs forced Jim Harbaugh into an intentional grounding call in the endzone in 1996 against Indy.

I thought we had a lot one year and just looked it up. In the 2005 season, Taylor, Howard and Carter all had safeties.
