Chris Hogan, Ryan Tanneyhill, Shelby, Lamar Miller, Oliver Vernon, Offensive line gelling, Sean Smith, improved defensive scheme.

Do I need to remind fellow Dolphin fans of the previous years of agony? Like: Larry Shannon not Randy Moss - Yatil Green - Ricky Williams suspensions, John Beck and his family, David Overstreet killed, Don Shula's desperation trying to buy a ring with Steve Entman and a sorted group of other overpayed over the hill clowns, Jackie Shipp, Cecil Collins, John Bosa and his knees, Ray Lucas, (I forget the name of the QB who played for KC and had so many concussions)....I mean seriously folks this could go on all night...but I'll stop...

Its way too early to say this is a successful draft, or a successful season but FINALLY a training camp that has been WAY more positive and optimistic then I have seen in DECADES! And about that I am stoked.

I think this is the most successful camp since 91 and maybe since 83 when Marino showed up - and then shortly after that Clayton and Duper showed up...

You didn't watch the first pre-season game did you? The only real positive I saw from that was Tannehill. If he is one of the only positives that comes from this season I will be happy though, because you are nowhere if you do not have a franchise QB first and foremost.

Better defensive schemes?? Better than what Nolan had last year?? Uhh I have to say "I don't think so". Our defense played over it's head at the end of last year and we have serious issues in the secondary. This is now a passing league. From what I have seen we have a run defense. I really don't see a top 15 defense, and when you add last weeks performance I think we are who I thought we would be.

I am not of the same mind OP, we have not looked good in any area that i can see. Other than Tanny's glimpses that provide hope I cannot say that I have seen anything to make me super confident going into the season. That said it is early and I am not in camp watching these players. I say wait until after the 3rd preseason game until we decide one way or another.

OP, when have we had a successful camp like this? Uh, how about every season when our record is still 0-0. Fans eat training camp up before reality hits. Get some perspective.

'08. New coach, new QB. Promising draft with Long, Langford, Thomas and the rise of the mighty Davone Bess. '09 wasn't too shabby either. We've just had a couple of very depressing years.

Decide what? If the fans should hope for a good season or not?

Don't confuse the ability to see inside camp compliments of HBO with past camps. That is the significant difference and not much else.

I still have some major concerns based on everything I've seen so far.

Exactly. Every year the fan base gets overly excited about players that flash in training camp. Then the lights come on and those players don't quite live up to the billing. So far, this year hasn't looked much different. The only difference from past years is that we MAY finally have found our QB of the future. But Chad Henne also received a lot of positive press and fan reaction his first few years in the league. Tannehill is still going to have to get over the developmental hump that Henne has never been able to get over.
