It makes sense for both sides to get a deal done sooner rather than later. With the starting RB position open for weeks 1-4, it would be good to have Ronnie in for the 2nd to last preseason game when starters see their most extensive playing time. I can see a compromise deal getting done. I don't think the real issue is the difference between the 19-22. It's that Ronnie, and more specifically his agent will look really bad if #3 gets more $$$ guaranteed. Still, I hope the Dolphins hold the line to some degree. I read some where that Larry Fitzgerald got 20 mil guaranteed from the #3 spot (i think) last year. Sorry, I don't have the link. If that is indeed true, than we need to go 20+ million for Ronnie. Worth it or not, we picked him #2 so lets just get it done. Hopefully the league addresses rookie salaries in the next CBA.
