Last year Wayne Huizenga announced trying to make Dolphins Stadium the best in the league again. He said that the Marlins had to be kicked out first, and the longer they stay the longer the renovations will take. So when are the Marlins leaving and where are they going when they leave?

I think they're lease ends in 2007, but I think they might be gone next year anyway.

Actually, I think the lease ends in 2010, not 2007.

They are discussing a site next to Dolphins Stadium now for the Marlins...but if it requires tax dollars, you can forget about it...unfortunately, I think the Marlins are bye-bye.

And what has Huizenga actually done on that list he made a year ago?

Let me find it....

If the Dolphins have the stadium, a practice bubble, and maybe a marlins stadium right next door, that would be very cool. But scratch the Marlins stadium. I doubt it.

*Additional seating capacity
^^^^^ I dont know about this part! On a bad year, they'll never sell out.

Well, he is trying to get a lot more events there. He did mention the Super Bowl and the Orange Bowl

"If you can keep bringing those type of events, more and more of those events, and if you let your imagination wander and if you think about all the events that are in domes around the United States, whether it is tennis, whether it is racing or horse shows or whatever it is, whether it is New Orleans or Chicago or Atlanta, we feel that if we had the proper facility here, why shouldn’t the people that are taking their business to the Midwest or the East, weather as not as good as ours, why wouldn’t they come here and put their event in here instead of there? That’s what we are hoping to accomplish here in our phase II."

I'm not to sure but I believe not so long ago there was talks about the Marlins could be exported to another city.

he already gets the orange bowl and is getting a super bowl coming up.

he wont get a super bowl every 3 years cause the other 31 owners dont like that plan.
