i know we need help at oline and linebacker but i for one would like to get a playmaker at wr and dont give me hagan is the o.j. crap he may or may not be a dependable wr but still we need a big time wr i and that is my concern because we can always fill the oline with undrafted rookies and a f/a that isnt available yet . if we get oslen i will jump on top of roof naked and sing oh tanaboob . we could draft 3 olinemen and get olsen and a wr then get a qb next year but my first choice is qb kolb and olsen damn people we could rock and roll if this happened.

Culpepper is still hurt or it seems out off our plans if rumors are right.

So it seems before WR, its got to be a QB

We dont need help at linebacker. If you want more linebackers you need to get your head checked out. Joey Porter, Zach Thomas, Channing Crowder and Jason Taylor.. you cant get much better than that.

We dont need Kolb or Olsen. We are targeting Brady Quinn and if we dont get him then we are going after Drew Stanton.

David Martin wouldnt be our first FA signing if Cam wasnt gonna use him. Apparently Cam sees something in him that we dont. Maybe he's an ex-basketball player.. like Gates. Cam has a thing for them. People were saying who was Antonio Gates before Cam got a chance at him.

Our 1st round pick needs to be a Safety or O-Lineman if it's not Quinn. I think everyone has agreed that our 1st round pick needs to be Quinn, Landry or Brown. Then with our 2nds and a 3rd we will draft 2 O-Lineman and Stanton if we dont get Quinn.
 
miamidolph99 I can see your point about linebacker but i still think kolb is about as good of a qb as stanton if not better . stanton remindes me of greise or feeley somewhat but kolb is the real deal.
 
I think we need a stud QB before we get a stud WR....it is kind of like buying a nice flashy car with no motor in it. We could draft CJ and he would be pretty average here as we have nobody who can get him the ball. :(
 
The very 1st thing that we need is a system for developing players. Don Shula had that system. We did well with Bob Griese. We also did well with QB's that were not drafted high. Don Strock and David Woodley. We went to the Super Bowl with them.
We have to get out of the mindset that we need 1st round players.
We need players, which translate to...we need draft choices.

Montana 4th rnd
Brady 6th rnd
Warner undrafted.

all Bowl winners.

if kolb was the real deal he would be a first or second round pick and not apart of the second day sess pool
 
UGHHHHHH im so tired of the whiny b*tching about that stud wideout...chris chambers is 1 year off a pro bowl...the guy has it...he had joey harrington throwing him passes and mike mularkey calling the plays...PLEASEEEEE....jerry twinkle toes rice wouldnt have been productive in that offense...
 
I have to disagree. Alot of people think that our Wrs are weak. Well let me ask you something, who has better Wrs, Fins or the Chargers. I believe we do. In Cams offense we do not need a stud Wr. We need a fast slot Wr, Chambers, and a couple of guys that can get open and catch the ball, Booker and Hagan. Our offense will be about running the ball.

WE have Hagan, he should be in the slot. But if we get Moss, were in business.

My thoughts exactly.

A bullet is no good without a gun to fire it.
 
I think having a good mix of receivers would be ideal. The true #1 big AND fast guy like Calvin Johnson, a short, 185 lb. super quick guy like Steve Smith, and the other two are "in between" physically but they have very reliable hands ... Jerry Rice type guys who run excellent routes and just have a knack for getting open.

One of these days, the Dolphins will put together a dream team of receivers. Of course, as previously mentioned, it ain't gonna matter too much if the QB can't get it done. Gotta have a decent OL and a good running game too to take the pressure off the passing game. These days, to have a winning team you can't have many holes at all on offense. Each part has a big effect on every other part of the offensive machine. Even the #1 and #2 receivers need to be very good blockers in order to get the running back past that last super fast DB in the open field that's closing in on him.

but WES and BOOKER and RANDY all had decent years
with the same QB and Mularkey yet Chambers had his worse year of his career...
