How many arguments were there in the past 10 months about how awesome this guy was, where he was going to be picked, how much we should get him for a future prospect, yadda yadda, blah blah. As I have stated many times, he made a horrible decision to come out and isn't ready. And with that he now goes at the end of the 5th...to the Steelers...where he will never play and has no future because they have arguably the best young QB in the league who has many strong years ahead of him.

Have fun Omar, glad we didn't follow what many people wanted.

:yeahthat: he's overrated

LOL .. do a search, you'll see how many times I argued with "saves" about him going to bomb :D

I argued with him too

I think Omar is a gifted Athelete And on the right team he could have became a very good player. In pittsburg they are only looking for him to be a servicable backup so if he does stay there he will never be able to reach his full potential.

LOL ... people are still making excuses. I know a ton of QBs who are underated that get picked in the end of the 5th by teams who don't need a starter anywhere near the next 8-10 years.

The Steelers probably took him to either groom as a backup or to use as trade bait when his contract's up. Just like any prospect, we need to wait and see how he does before judging him.

i remember that guy [saves] giving me a lecture on how he so sure jacobs won't go further that the 3rd or 4th,that's what happens when your personal feeling about a hometown person will do to you, then REALITY sinks in on the day of the draft!!!!!:boohoo:

I think he could'nt have gotten himself in a better situation.

He's going to a SOLID franchise with a very good coaching staff. He won't be rushed at all and will have some time to learn the game and develop.

I'm not a big fan of the guy as a player but, if I was him I'd be thankful.

The Steelers could season him into a player over the next few years and maybe flip him for a higher pick. I think it is a good pick up for them. You can never have too many Q.B.'s.

i think thats a great place for him...i just wish we would have picked him
