I can't believe these 2 guys can't get on the field still? With Traylor hurting will one of these guys finally be active? If they can't bet out Zgonina yet for PT then we may be in trouble at DT in the future. How about Rod Wright? Is he in playing condition yet? The Vikes have a big line and I'm sure they will try and run it down our throats. We need some beef up front and Holliday and Zgonina are pretty light. Just wondering if anyone knows why these guys can't get on the field - are they not that good or just too raw?

As CK said in another thread, Rod Wright hasn't been activated yet. Evans should get some more playing time with Traylor out, and hopefully he can be to Wilkinson what Wilkinson was to Traylor. The Vikings are are lot more vulnerable when Johnson is getting laid out/pressured.

Agree - he is tough but he is light compared to Traylor. IMO we need a BIG body to go against the Vikes big Oline. I think a Holliday and Zgonina combo will wear down.

Unfortunately I think they're going to use Zgonina as Wilkinson's primary backup. Not sure if Evans gets activated. In this last game against KC, they had Traylor, Wilkinson, and Zgonina all three activated. That may have been the only time this year they've done that though...so it's not a given that Evans gets activated along with Wilkinson and Zgonina.

I haven't noticed Evans at all - has he been active? I think the Vikes game plan will be to pound it out to avoid the pressure. IMO if we shut down the run we will expose Brad - all he does is dump off passes.
 
Evans was a 7th round draft pick from a D II college, he played GREAT in preseason and I hope he gets some playing time soon, but is it fair to ask why he isnt playing on a line with very good depth?

dude have u seen zgonina?
i never knew a D lineman could be that ripped i saw him in training camp and he was a beast

the vikes are dead last in rushing TDs with 2, and 2nd to last in rushing 1st downs. i hope they plan to try to run on us.
 
Every time I see a 10 yard run against this team... I seem to notice Zgonina is playing. I feel that this is not a coincidence. I'd rather see Evans.
