I have been reading about how we are making progress and things are looking better. Yes we have won two games this year, one against a 3-3 SD team and another against a Brady-less Pats team. Last year we could have easly won 5-6 games but with all the injuries we only one 1. I dont want to sound negitive at all but we still have problems at WR, CB, DL, and QB. I think CP is playing ok but he is just managing the game. I do see an improvement on the OL but thats about it. I have faith but just dont see all the improvement we all talk of......

the biggest difference would certainly be Pennington over Lemon. our OL is better. our TEs are actually catching the football. our WRs are a bit underwhelming at the moment, but there's marked improvement all over the offense.

as for the D, we couldn't stop the run at all last season. we had a bad game against baltimore, but missing the top two NTs will do that to you. overall, we're doing a very good job defending the run.

our secondary and ST unit needs work, but we're hands down a better team than last year.

OL is an improvement, starting D-line is improvement (depth needed) , OLB's are improvement and I think it goes without saying that this coaching staff is the bigest improvement of all. Talent is all Miami needs in certain areas and I'm confident this Miami coaching/scouting staff will get this team to contenders in the next 2 years.

This coaching staff took over a 1-15 team.

If you can't see a difference in the team from last year to this year...I dont really know what to tell ya. We've gotten younger on defense (particularly the dline) and drafted Jake Long, signed Justin Smiley and the oline is now looking pretty solid. So the oline and dline is much improved. Pennington has added stability to the QB position that wehavent seen in years. We have a very solid running back unit, and decent TEs. The WR position is lacking which hopefully would be addressed in the offseason. Same goes for the secondary.

Here's the problem, some fans don't understand expectations. You think this is a new year, new regime and the results should be 10+ wins and a playoff berth. This is what rebuilding is. Bringing in young talent and finding the right mix of players. That doesn't always translate into wins, especially in the beginning. This year we are most likely gonna be 6-10, maybe 7-9 at best. I dont know if we will match that win total next year...but you will see more young talent on this team. Its all part of the process.

Pennington is an upgrade and I believe that Henne eventually will be as well.

Justin Smiley and Jake Long are huge upgrades.

Having three viable options at running back is an upgrade.

Moving Matt Roth to outside linebacker in a 3-4 is an upgrade.

Jason Ferguson (though now injured) is an upgrade.

Anthony Fasano is an upgrade.

The Wildcat is a playcalling and general creativity upgrade.

Bill Parcells is a fundamental upgrade.

Coaching staff all around is an upgrade

Our O-line has been horrible for the past few years and now it looks like got 100% better overnight. Satele is getting more experience, the Smiley addition was big, and of course drafting Jake was key. It moved Carey to his true RT spot where he is playing much better.

Like some people have said before our Defense has gotten younger and bigger.

and Pennington is an obvious upgrade over Green, Lemon, Beck, Harrington and so on...

Cam is the Best OC in the league .

We are improved everywhere..., we just haven't arrived..., so to speak..., the scoreboard is not always indicative of what is really going on..., for instance we could have upgraded a lot even in the WR and Sec. but we are well below the cap limit..., there is a purpose in all this..., that should tell everyone that there is a plan in place... the NY "Brett's" are maxed out at the cap..., we are a team in the long-haul...

Oline, mentality, and discipline.. we're not making any stupid mistakes like penalties

The biggest upgrade was getting rid of JT so he didn't have the opportunity to sabotauge another coaching staff.

You also have to love the 'no respect' argument from the players on this team in regards to their opinion of Cameron, who apparently has gained the respect of a clearly better Ravens offense.

well they pointed out during the game the dolphins have the fewest mistakes ion the league and lead the league in red zone offense we are ranked 8th against the run and have 15 sacks this season

sounds good to me

Improvements are every where even at coaching. Just not enough improvements quckly enough but we are gettijng better. We have been lucky to with the newbies FA Pennington, Starks, 08 draft Lankford, Merling, trades Fasano etc. Like Ireland as the GM and Sporano appears to ge getting better to each game.

I agree with most posts above. I just keep hearing about how much we improved from last year, but I wanted to take a better look at it. We all agree that we are better, but we also need a lot of help. I dont think we are an 8-8 team. I would say 5 or 6 wins...... which if we had a coach last year we should have won 6-7 games last year... So I would say our coaching staff is our best improvement.......
