Just wondering what Rick Spielman was up to lately. Doesnt look like hes drawn any interest from other teams. Not even the Lions are interested in him.

Somehow, I find that hard to believe judging from the glowing endorsements some people were giving him while he was the GM of this team. "Hes a great evaluator of talent, and we would be dumb to let him go," one member said.

Maybe shawn-i, mdfinfan, or infinsible could look him up and see what he is up to.

My guess is he will rejoin Wanny in some position at Pitt. Where do you think he will land?

Just let go,man. You know I wasnt a fan of his.All I wanted was for him to go and now that finally that has happened we must move on and look towards the future.

I never could understand the rationale of Spielman's supporters either. Glad he's gone. Now we have one of the best in Mueller.

It's call drafting poole, hadnot, carey, bua, pope, pape, finding gems like Welker, Ogun, Corey, Roundtree, Morris, J. James, St. Clair, Y. Bell, Abanyea (sp), starting the turnover on O, even though it was a hard year, it was the right thing to do. Bringing in strong armed AJ, Booker, L. Gordon, Gilmore, Chambers, helping with this year's draft, keeping the cap managable by not overspending..I don't know, but my gut tells me he had us heading in the right direction...just didn't have the coaches to allow him to pull it off. Some of us can see better than others..the guy could evaluate talent, and I bet he'll be back in someone's front office soon..at the time he left, most teams front offices were set...give it some time....Just because we were stupid, don't mean everyone else will be. He's not a bad negoiator, he gets paid for the next 2 years for sitting on his butt, he can take some time off and check what's the best situation for him.

Yea, one of those GMs that was awesome enough to have a few years out of the game. :rofl3:

I can't wait to see Ricks picks starting this year.

I'm sooo embarassed....who would have thought that he would go a whole month without getting another job?

gosh, jnaledu, please take it easy on me....you calling me out like this has hurt my feelings so much....It's not fair that you're so much smarter than me....Please stop with this vicious campaign to slander my good name....I'm defenseless against your onslaught.

I would use that exact list of names to emphasize how pathetic Spielman was. Our talent level declined significantly while he was involved, and especially while he was in charge. Apparently the rest of the NFL isn't as fanatically blindfolded as many of Spielman's apologists. He'll find work, along the lines of that song, "just like starting over..."

I think he will be a great fill in for Howie Long if he is running late for a radio shaw commercial or cany make it to the Fox pregame howie long could always count on spielman to fill in and no1 would notice.

Funny how Saban decided to keep them, and a good portion os Spielmans players look like our starters this season. Oh and some of the players to get most praise from camp were his.
