Well QB A. Smith is now signed, and that's supposedly the only thing that was keeping Brown from getting signed in Miami. So where is Ronnie Brown???...

The last time I heard anything, his agent was not returning phone calls. GREAT!!!

Where is this going??...It needs to be taken care of now. This is a new offense, and new coach, and a whole new ball game for Brown in the NFL. He should be signed already IMO, and the longer this hold-out lasts, the less chance he'll have to start....

Right now, with Ricky looking strong, and Morris / Gordon playing back-up roles, Brown is going to be last on the depth chart the day he comes to camp. He doesn't deserve, and he hasn't earned any instant promotions.....

He'll have a lot of work, and convincing to do if he plans on being our featured back on opening day. I'm not impressed with his decision making at this stage. He's got to realize if he wants to play, he needs to sign. Another day lost, and another day of negociations wasted. What the hell is taking so long for us to get him signed on the dotted line???...

I'm growing tired of this mess....

i agree with your feelings and i'd be disappointed with the dolphins organization if they choose to pamper this poop head with anything more than the holdout deserve. you come to camp on time, you get this much. you holdout, you get what you deserves. we are not afraid of losing you - is the attitude i wish we could bestow on him now. makes ricky look like a good guy. at least ricky QUIT out of his disinterest of football and didnt ask for more money because of it. spoiled f*cker. seems like he decided to holdout from the time he was picked. this goes on into next week it becomes a distraction. don't need him. maybe this will play to our advantage. with a new offensive game, maybe we dont need him as much as we needed him before ricky's return.

patience? this isnt a time for patience. he's now a distraction. what this particular team needs least is this. patience is what kept wannstadt around for as long as he was. if this is a no BS regime, in saban, brown should suffer some consequence as a result of his disenchantment for football in that big head of his. we tolerate this crap like we do with the gas prices. america is a disgusting people.

i kinda wish Drew was his agent now...he would have just scared miami into paying Ronnie the money and he would have been on the practice field

You can blame 90% of this mess on Alex Smiths agent Condon (& 49's FO). France will definitely try to negociate a contract comprabable to Smiths even though no team wants to sign a RB to a contract like that. The numbers are going to be staggering regardless but I can't see Miami giving Brown a contract w/20million in guaranteed money.

This potentially could be a long holdout if one side doesn't give in.

Woahhh buddy, calm down. It's football, don't read too much in to it.

Remember some teams just reported to camp, so while I would like to have had him take a couple of thousand reps by know, he will have plenty of time to learn the offense. What is to say he isn't studying it right now. He hasn't dropped in the depth chart because he hasn't been placed in the depth chart yet, He is a rookie. His boy Cadilac signed already and he will follow suit. He will be in camp early this week and help bolster an impressive backfield. :drinkers: IMO

I think the Dolphins front office should not call him, not call his agnet and wait until they come looking to be signed. We are pretty good in the RB dept. right now so although it would be great to have him, we can go without him.

I think the whole problem with Brown not being in camp is because of the 49ers. They were desperate to get Alex Smith to training camp on time because of their bad media relations. Their fans were saying that their owner is cheap. In order to make a statement they got Alex Smith to camp on time and over paid in doing so. Now Ronnie Browns agent is using that as leverage and saying Ronnie deserves more money. If their was a huge drop off in money from the 1st to the 2nd pick, it would make Ronnies agent look bad.

I think theres a very REAL possibility he wont play the first Pre-season game.

I am not looking forward to seeing him in it really. I think this is a situation where the Dolphins will wait and see what they have in some live action against another team before they budge.

If Ricky plays awesome like he did against us wayyy back when he first started in that pre-season game in which he averaged like 7 yards a carry then maybe that will help out in two fronts.

1. People see that theyd better watch out because Rickys back. Hopefully that will get someone to give up a high draft pick for him if thats the way Saban really wants to go with Williams.

2. It'll give the Fins leverage in negotiations since they'll have shown that hey we've ot some guys here that can run and our O-Line is much improved. Sign or else you'll be sitting on the bench and we arent paying a lot for you to just warm the bench.

Yeah, well, we've got a bit of leverage too. We could go without him and let him see how much value he can get next year as a FA following a year out of FB without all the media attention. That's a pretty strong incentive as well.
