Flores 15 wins is more impressive than Sparano’s 18 and Gase’s 16 because both those coaches went backwards and Flores went forward.Easily, Top 2!
Year 3 is going to reel the real story.

Not Sparano......that team went 1-15 the year before. He got lucky with Pennington tho. What’s even more impressive, IMO, is that he tore it all down and rebuilt it practically from scratch. Whereas those other coaches inherited some pretty good talent.
Sparano's inherited roster was definitely better than Flores. Jake Long, Vernon Carey, Samson Satele, Ronnie Brown just to name a few. I'm not saying it's leaps and bounds better than what Flores started with but there was definite leadership on both sides of the ball. And the trenches on both sides weren't as bad as what Flores had either to start with. Not Sparano......that team went 1-15 the year before. He got lucky with Pennington tho.
The wildcat was lightning in a bottle for Sparano, it was all downhill once the league figured out how to stop it.Not Sparano......that team went 1-15 the year before. He got lucky with Pennington tho.

Humility looks good on you sir......well done!I’ll state this again.... I was not for hiring Flores. I thought all he did was get BB his coffee in the morning. On top of that, I thought it was terrible how anyone could give him credit for the Super Bowl win over the Rams.
I’ll also state this again...... I’m an idiot. Eating Crow buy the fork-full on that one. Flores has turned out to be better than I could have imagined. I honestly think he’s number 2 only to Shula. As much as I despise Grier, I gotta give him full credit on the coaching hire.
The real story will be written when Miami finally gets the QB situation fixed. If Tua doesn't work out it's more than likely Flores doesn't either unless Ross decides to give him another chance with a different QB. But Flores' fate is tied to the QB position just like every other head coach.Easily, Top 2!

Thanks Brother.... I can admit when I’m wrong (which happens often).Humility looks good on you sir......well done!
And agree with your comments about where Flores ranks at this stage
I should have been more specific. yes that roster was better than the one Flores got. I just meant it wasn't all that good either and they went from 1-15 to 11-5 and won the division so I give him some credit for that.Sparano's inherited roster was definitely better than Flores.
