Ricky is still Ricky. He could always win a crowd just by speaking thoughtfully. Bottom line to me is, this guy still isn't going to be playing very long. You have to go through too much for you to be doing this just for financial reasons. He'll get those out of the way, set aside some money to live and for his kids, then he'll walk again. Hopefully, it won't be the Phins that feel the pain when he does.
The X factor is injury. He's yet to suffer significant injury, pretty much throughout his career...the type that takes long hard hours of rehab without a whole lot of visible results. A serious injury will immediately conjure images for him of Earl Campbell not being able to walk right, and he will walk away from the game that much sooner.
He said two more seasons once, and I believe him. That's all it will be. He'll play this year he|| or high water, injury or no, but if he takes a significant injury, we'll be lucky to see him still around in 2006.
